It's not crowded... they allow visitors to ride on elephant without a saddle :-) Bring your swimming clothes. Their pool is part of ShangriLao resort complex.

For a memorable experience make sure you visit the Elephant Sanctuary in the unspoiled Nam Khan River valley. You will get a chance to safely ride, feed and wash the gentle giants.

We went their without a tour, just on our own, and it was really hard to find the place. Also, the whole thing is quite pricy for Luang Prabang. I really enjoyed the ride itself though, a lot of positive emotions from interacting with elephants....More
