NAQSH SCHOOL OF ARTS.PACKAGES MALL BRANCH. ENTRANCE 3.
yet again visiting Lahore and my lovely friends at NAQSH School of Arts Lahore but this time I visited their new branch at Packages Mall Lahore too!! What a delightful surprise!!
All the students Art work is showcased in a very modern, full of light and welcoming ambience. It is much convenient for art enthusiastics and buyers to visit these premises. They are open every day from 13:00 to 22:00.
Along with the Art Gallery NAQSH School of Arts, Packages Mall brach, offers art lessons and short workshops in calligraphy, painting, ceramics, miniature painting and other mediums of drawing and painting. All ages catered for.
I have enjoyed amazing calligraphy lessons with Professor Usman Ghana, his patience is equal to none! I also took drawing lessons with Afroza Sarmad Khan, the Manager. I will miss Lahore and NAQSH School of Arts now that I’m going back to England but I hope to return back soon and keep learning in a friendly and beautiful environment. They can offer day taster courses but please book in advance.

This is my second review about NAQSH. I continue to love this Art School in the wall city of Lahore. I particularly love the miniature paintings and Moghul flowers. I recently attended an exhibition of this gallery. All works were made by students of the first and second years. The quality of the work is exquisite! The prices are very reasonable. I think this is the ideal place to buy your souvenirs in Lahore. In my last review i explained how this Foundation helps women to learn different traditional East Asian Art techniques so they can pursue a further career in Art or they can earn a decent living from home by selling their works. I'm including photos of some of my favourite paintings. The first three are of paintings I bought and now have in my home in Lahore. I LOVE THEM!!! 🤩😍💜💕💜 If you are in Lahore ring Afroza, manager of schoolal and book a visit. She will happily show you the paintings, ceramics and calligraphies!! You will find something beautiful to take home!

Wish there were more and better items on display. There seem to be better stuff on the classroo shelves than in the gallery.

Beautiful Art College in the heart of Lahore. A home away from home. I took a few painting lessons and found the teachers are exceptionally professional and creative. The staff became my friends! Their hospitality is like none I have encountered around the world. I attended a couple of months and was in love with the flower NAQZH designs! I can't wait to visit again to start a new project! I was impressed with all staff particularly Afroza that runs the whole school and Art Centre and of course Sabaa my painting teacher!! The work the foundation does to empower women through Art is outstanding! Buying Art there really helps the community. I encourage visitors to go wholeheartedly! If you need some Art or a souvenir from Lahore this is your place!! I'm adding some photos of my experience. Thank you!!

It might be unfair for me to write this review, but I will. The school was not in session today so I could not see the miniatures being made by students or those for sale. This is what I had hoped to see. Instead there was a contemporary exhibition going on which is part of the city wide Lahore Biennal showcasing art by both Pakistani artists and those from elsewhere. Some pieces are quite contemporary. Others included video installations and modern prints. This fair concludes 31 March with another event two years from now.

Once again, this is inside BHATTI GATE, a short walk up the main street from my ancestral home Tibbi Kutab Khana...the school has produced some of the best miniture artists, during your visit you can see the students at work and an exhibition of their work. There is also a pottery department ..looking for a miniture painting or local craft, this is the place with reasonable prices..

Naqsh Art Gallery is part of the Naqsh Art School. They sell works by the students, particularly miniatures. While you're here check out the restored haveli of the Ali family for free. Cool place!

This is a fantastic art gallery in the historic walled city of Lahore. It is a project of the Babar Ali Foundation and is located in one of the Ali family's ancestral havelis, located in the Bazaar e Hakimaan. Syed Babar Ali and his family are great patrons of art and education as they have helped in establishing the leading business school LUMS, a technical college called the Ali Institute and the Naqsh Art Complex. Their dedication has always impressed me. The purpose of this art complex is to preserve the traditional skills of Pakistan and to provide an opportunity to the less priveleged men and women of the walled city to acquire traditional art education. Classes are held here for calligraphy, painting and drawing, sculpture, miniature and of naqashi or arabesque. Naqsh is an excellent place to see how traditional art and craft are made. It is also a great place to buy original art pieces at very reasonable rates. Do visit this gallery if you are interested in Pakistani and Indian art techniques. I loved to see the artisans in action. I felt that it was a place like the Cafer Aga Art Complex in Istanbul.
