The incredible facts about this Church are:
- proximity with an ancient Christian temple that was existing during the Roman Empire;
- the paintings at the entrance giving you an idea about how might Heaven and Hell would look like (in the opinion of the locals)
- the quiet peace you will discover as you enter the Cathedral
And the list might go on, but you should come and find more about Saints Paul and Peter Cathedral in Constanta.

A beautiful example of Orthodox architecture and art. Open and free to enter. Worth seeing the frescoes in the entrance way.

This imposing structure is even more interesting because of the Roman ruins right outside. The interior is filed with gorgeous Eastern Orthodox icons and colorful frescoes. There is a wonderful gift shop on the premises, and I regretted after I left that I had not purchased an icon. Definitely worth a visit!

In my opinion, this is by far most beautiful edifice in Old town Constanta. It's in center of it, close to a Catholic Church and a mosque. This Orthodox Church was built in late 19 c, and apart from the rest of old town it is well maintained.
On it's sea facing side are Roman ruins and best pics you can take from there, as the front facade is in a narrow street.
The interior is also terrific, with outstanding frescoes.

This is an absolutely stunning Orthodox Church.
Built between 1883 and 1885. There are Roman ruins in the front and history surrounds this spot. The Orthodox priests were very present and available. There is a small gift shop. You are able to purchase candles for blessings. It is a few steps from the walking path along the water. Take advantage of the walk along the water as well.

We were able to visit during a day long trip to Constanta along with a visit to the Carol Mosque which is only a block or so away. Very beautiful inside. Built in the mid 1800's and restored after suffering considerable damage in WWII.

The biggest cathedral in Constanta it's the seat of the Tomis Archdiocese and is a very beautiful religious site, being designed by Ion Mincu in Greco-Roman style.
The exterior's best elements are the golden cupols and the decorated brick facade, while the interior is spacious and with beautiful frescoes on the walls.

This is a grand site inside with lots of stained glass but sadly is rather dingy and dark. It is one of best decorated building in Constanta and should be shown off more proudly than it is. It is easy to enter and walk around but as it seemed in the rest of Constanta do not expect welcoming smiles. Such an unhappy city.

Dimly lit, but very ornate, every inch of this orthodox church is covered in religeous icons. There are relics of the two apostles on display in humble glass cases. When we were there, it appeared that the church was undergoing a bit of construction, but it is still being used. Priest were walking in and out and even providing a prayer blessing off in the corner while we walked about, admiring the interior. The altar is a sight to behold, guilded in silver and gold. Free entrance. Flash photography discouraged.
