We visited the great mosque of Constanta, and i can say that the view from the minaret of the old city. The 140 steps to get to the top of the minaret are exosting. Its strange that the have no clothing restriction for women în the mosque.

Located on a side street, not far from the main square, it is possible to visit the mosque for a nominal fee. From a small courtyard you enter the main room off which there is a flight of stairs leading up to the minaret that gives you a 360° of the town and sea. It gives you a different perspective... It is a big mosque in the historical part of the city. The Carol I mosque shelters a big carpet given by a turkish sultan. It has a big tower (minaret) where the tourists can go upstairs. From there the entire old town is visible...

This is a great little side stop if you are in the plaza. Very cheap ticket, quiet, and an absolutely amazing view of the harbor and city scape when you climb the minaret. The climb is not too strenuous, but is not accessible to people with phyisical limitations.

The Mosque is pretty small, so there is not much to see inside. There are 140 steps to the Minaret, where you can see a nice view over the city and Tomis harbor. No clothing restrictions (even for women).

The Minaret offers fantastic views of Constanta, for the money it's worth taking a peek, although the interior is a little sparse.

The mosque is very small and you could get inside, ladies and gents are allowed inside. If you are able to climb all the steps and get on top of the tower you will enjoy wonderful views across the Constanta town, port and the Black Sea. No lift available.

It stands out when you are in Ovidiu Square in the old part of town. It's an old little gem, and the view from up top is very nice.
