Rainy days in Constanta

We did not know where to go in a rainy week end and we thought that it would be a good decision to visit this museum; many things that I did not know about this Romanian sculptor.

We weren't able to visit because it is closed in low season. There are some sculptures outside and you can see the casino and visit th orthodox church nearby.

Ion Jalea (1887-1983) was a Romanian sculptor, member of the Romanian Academy. He lost a hand in a First World War battle and had to sculpt the rest of his life with one hand. The museum is housed in a beautiful building near the Cathedral, Casino and Aquarium . It was established on the basis of the artist's donations and... More
