My partner and I just spent 3 days with Adrian in Transylvania. What a refreshing change it was to have a private tour guide all to ourselves! We had just finished a Viking river cruise where we were herded like sheep in groups of 30+ people on several city tours. Adrian picked us up at our hotel in Bucharest to start the tour. Some folks from the ship went on Viking's optional Transylvania excursion from Bucharest. While we rode in a comfortable Mercedes van with Adrian, they rode on a crowded bus.

Adrian clearly loves his country and was passionate about sharing his knowledge with us. On this tour, we visited Rasnov Fortress, Peles Castle, Bran Castle, and the town of Brasov. Adrian makes the history of these places come alive with his interesting narratives about the people who lived here and the circumstances of their lives. Our tour included 2 nights in Rasnov at the lovely guesthouse, Casa Rasnoveana, with a delicious breakfast included. Adrian's father owns a restaurant within walking distance of the guesthouse. We had lunch and dinner there. The food and wine were outstanding.

If you want to learn a lot about Romania and have a great time too, Adrian is your guy! He can plan an itinerary based on your available time and interests, and his tours are very reasonably priced as well. We hope to return one day and do some hiking and brown bear viewing with Adrian!

It was an amazing experience to have a private tour, to choose the places we wanted to see and to follow Adrian advice to drive on Transfagarasan route to Balea Lake challey. It is a wonderful view of Fagaras Mt. all around. We visited Valea Cetatii Cave, The Simca early underground church, the Cistercian catholic church founded in 1098 as well as the ruins of the first cistercian church. Very interesting. Guide Adrian is a professional guide showing his wide knowledge about history. He is very accommodating stoping the car everywhere we wanted. I recommend him as a very pleasant person who creates a great atmosphere in the car while he is driving. He advised us the best restaurant in Rasnov - La Promenada that is a la carte with inside and outside tables and a place where the children can play. You can ask for a delivery at wherever you stay. I recommend Casa Rasnoveana pension where we stayed very comfortable. This place offers you a very good breakfast.

We had an incredible day on our tour with Adrian from Brasov to Corvin Castle and then to Sibiu! While the drive was around 3.5 hours from Brasov to Corvin Castle, it felt much shorter because of the history being shared by Adrian during the drive (while also having some incredible views of the Carpathian Mountains)! Adrian was a very welcoming guide and made it feel as if we were on a tour with a friend with his friendliness, engaging conversation and courtesy throughout the tour. After arriving at Corvin Castle, we explored the castle for hours learning more about the history and also connecting the history to many of the facts, stories and other information Adrian shared on the drive. Corvin Castle was one of the most incredible places we have ever visited and is more than worth the drive to get there! The visit to Sibiu around sunset was magical and an incredible experience and seeing the Christmas Market in full effect was an incredible experience. We highly recommend Wise Tours for your trip regardless of which tour you choose! Adrian is an incredible guide and makes the history of Transylvania and Romania come to life in his commentary and leaves no details untouched throughout the entire tour!

Communication for pickup for the tour from our accomodation was easy and Adrian communicated ahead of time so we could plan accordingly. He was extremely professional and made our time better than we could have ever expected. Thank you, again, for such a wonderful tour and adventure!

Dear Evan, Wow, thank you immensely for sharing your incredible experience! It brings me immense joy to hear that your day tour from Brasov to Corvin Castle and Sibiu was nothing short of amazing. I'm thrilled that the journey felt shorter thanks to our engaging discussions. It was truly a pleasure to guide you, and I'm delighted that you felt like you were exploring with a friend. Exploring Corvin Castle and witnessing its rich history come to life alongside you was a highlight for me as well. And Sibiu, with its magical ambiance and bustling Christmas Market, truly made for unforgettable moments. Thank you for your kind words and recommendation. Your satisfaction is my top priority, and I'm thrilled that I could exceed your expectations. It was a pleasure sharing the history and beauty of Transylvania and Romania with you. Looking forward to welcoming you back for more adventures in the future! Warm regards, Adrian

We are a family of four, with both our kids in primary school. Although we are born and live here, in Romania, and we visited the Brașov region before, we needed someone to tell us “the story” of the places and people and to guide us in discovering the beauty of our country. So, we decided to book a 3-day guided tour with Adrian around Brașov and its surroundings.

Adrian is a very open and pleasant person and has a comprehensive knowledge of the places and people that are relevant to the Romanian history. I must admit that learning the history by seeing first-hand the places and hearing the stories from someone who knows how to tell them is a very rewarding experience, far from the lessons you are taught in school or from reading a book.

It was also nice for our kids to blend the history “lessons” with a lot of fun at the Dino Park in Râșnov, and at the Bear Sanctuary in Zărnești.

Adrian was not just our guide; he became our friend! We had a wonderful time and we’ll surely come back for more!

We recently had the pleasure to visit Transylvania with our friends, and I must say that our tour guide, Adrian, was nothing short of exceptional.
His passion for history, culture and Transylvania was just wow.
We loved spending the day with him and we appreciate him for sharing his knowledge with us. The lunch place he took us to has amazing food and the service was outstanding.
We recommend Adrian and his tours, without a doubt he is a true gem in the world of tour guiding.
Thanks Adrian!

Adrian was an amazing guide. Picked us up and gave us a brilliant history lesson on route to Peles Castle. So much information but also made it fun. Guess the secret door was my favourite part. Bran Castle was also great. Adrian's love of history and especially Vlad made this a great and informative day. We had food at his dad's restaurant which was nice. Would definitely use him again as well as recommended him to others.

Indeed you're favorite part was the secret doors :)) I liked how you tried to find all of them! But let me express my gratitude for this beautiful review that you wrote to me about the castles that we've visit and also I'm glad to hear that you've enjoyed the lunch at my dad's! I'd be more than happy to welcome you again and do other tours and also thank you for spreading the word to others! Best regards, Adrian

We wanted to go out from Bucharest and see the area around Transyvania prior to a river cruise. I had looked into transportation on the trains, buses etc. but decided to speak with Adrian. There were four of us and He arranged a driver and himself to pick us up from our hotel in town. It was a beautiful Mercedes 6 passenger van with 4x4 which we ended up needing as it was snowing heavily in Brasov and the surrounding areas.
On the way, he gave us an overview of the history of the area and answered any questions we had. He had selected a few places he felt we should see on the way to Brasov before he dropped us at out hotel. I'm abbreviating our day as we left at 9AM and arrived at our hotel in Brasov at 7PM having seen two of the most amazing castles, along with a leisurely lunch etc.
The next morning our van was outside and we took off in another direction for some more interesting sights. Another full day returning at 7PM.
Our third, and last day, he collected our luggage and we returned back to Bucharest an entirely different path than our outbound one stopping at a couple of places on the return.
We spent 21 days touring Eastern Europe. Two days in Bucharest, Adrian's tour for 3 days, 9 days on the Danube, and the rest of the days touring 4 more countries by car. We all agreed that the three days we spent with Adrian were the best!
If you are going to be in Bucharest starting or ending a river cruise, and want to see some of the interesting sights in the surrounding countryside, you cannot go wrong with this choice.
He will arrange transportation/ tours for up to 8 persons. I don't think he likes to do groups larger, but you could ask.
He responds quickly on the internet and I let him decide what he thought we should see. This is all he does and it is obvious when you go into any of the castles, all the guides know him and they let us see some parts of the sights that they don't allow large groups to view.
If you have a limited amount of time and want to see the most interesting sights you cannot go wrong using Adrian as a guide.
We had two days of snow, and Adrian advised us before so we were prepared with warm clothes. There is a lot of walking involved as is typical seeing old castles so be prepared with comfortable shoes etc. The nice thing about a private guide is you can structure a tour suited for your group's abilities and interests.

We will highly recommend this guide. He is very knowledgeable guide. He is also an open person -he is open for a discussion. He is a nice and friendly person. He is flexible when it came to pick up times- at the hotel and drove us on one occasion to a trainstation- in another city. We were on a roundtrip in Romania. He made our trip special. We're going to use him again - if we return to Romania. We would also recommend him to friends if anyone will be traveling to Romania.

We had Adrian witch is the nicest guide and a very good driver for our 5 days trip to Transylvania. He was very knowledgeable and shared his experiences and time with us explaining the history and culture of Romania and the Romanian people. The tour itinerary was fine and very well organised; he gave us a very good view of Transylvania in a very short time. Adrian is certainly the best tourist guide we ever had, he takes care of every detail and he was very friendly, we recommend him to anyone who wishes a great tour of Romania
