We, 6 vikings from Norway, had a fabulous time with our guide Manuela. I found the company via the inyourpocket guides, and didn't know at the time that they were on TA. After good communication, we settled on airport pickup from Bucuresti, a day trip from Brașov, then a trip back to Bucuresti via Peleș, Bucegi cable car and Azuga winery.
The old part of Brașov was very charming and I wish we had more time to explore it. But only 2 nights there, and 2 nights in București meant that our schedule was pretty hard pressed.
They helped with suggesting accommodation as well, and even took pics of some rooms for us to help with choosing them, as we would have 3 in one room, 2 in another and the asocial hermit (me) for himself.
Our trip to Bran castle, a lunch at the big complex Club Vila Bran and Râșnov fortress was great, and as we checked in to our hotel Casa Wagner at 03:30 in the night, it was good to have a start at 11, and that was exactly when we left Brașov town square. Manuela guided us through the sights with her extensive knowledge, which meant we did not need any additional guiding at the sights.
On our second day, we stopped at Peleș, where a local guide was mandatory, then dropped by Pelisor, Mănăstirea Sinaia, before having lunch at Rhein Azuga winery. It was a great lunch - we ordered it before our guided tour, which included tasting three different kinds of bubbly wine, and the lunch was great - one of the best meals I had in the country.
We continued to the Babele cable car, and went up to 2216 metres, to watch the mysterious Carpathian Sphinx - a strange rock formation perched right on top of the mountain plateau. It was cold and windy, so after returning to the car, we continued on to București where we were given a short tour of the city before being dropped off at our hotel.
They were very flexible with our wishes, and after this trip I must say I would like to return to Romania again to see more of this very interesting country. For guided tours and transfers, Land of Dracula was really great, and the van was very comfortable and fun :)

I highly recommend "The Land of Dracula" tours! I contacted them via email on rather short notice and they were able to arrange a fantastic day of touring for my son and I. We visited Peles Castle, Rasnov Fortress and Bran Castle. Our tour guide, Manuela, was super friendly and extremely informative. It was a very efficient use of our time in Brasov. I am so happy we took the tour!

I chose this company based on the reviews which were all spot on. Great communication and assistance in planning my private tour and then the tour itself. It was like travelling with a third friend while still keeping a level of professionalism. I actually chose the 2 days tour and due to some terrible roadworks on day 1 the guide suggested alternative options for day 2 so that we could avoid the delays. The change to the itinerary was fantastic. The guides are very knowledgeable on their local area and history and good fun to travel with. Cannot recommend these guys enough....

We met our tour guide on time to find we were a group of just 3. Excellent we thought! However, the van we were taken to could not have contained any more than that and whenever it slowed down in traffic (most of the time), the back filled with burning oil fumes. So sitting in the back, we endured nausea and headaches for most of the day.
We felt more than a little foolish to have paid quite a bit extra for the "Skip the line priority" tour rather than the "basic" tour as we had to pay full admission to each castle as we went along. So although we paid extra for "skip the line", no admission tickets, standard or priority were included?? so what had we paid extra for??? And there is no option to skip any line at Peles as we found out, having spent 2 hours queueing in a chaos while being pushed and shoved and shouted at in a variety of languages. Once inside one member of our party had a panic attack and was left to find her own way out (in tears), while our guide proceeded to give us a whistle stop tour in order to meet her afterwards to check she was OK. Fortunately she was.
We moved on to Bran Castle next, more admission tickets, more queuing. By the time we finished Bran we had been either in the van or in queues for 8 hours. Not a single toilet break, refreshment break, opportunity for lunch, nothing. We decided to abort the third stop on the tour and get back to Brasov as we were all feeling hot, tired, ill and in need of water and toilets. The panic attack lady asked twice if we could stop so she could use a rest room and did we stop? no. Not until we were back at her hotel in Brasov.
Yes it was a Sunday, yes it was a holiday weekend. But our local guide should have adjusted our schedule as it says they can do when necessary on the website information.
A dreadful experience, an expensive waste of a day.

I booked a tour with them to Bran Castle and Poienari Fortress. They said the guide would pick me up from my hotel at 9 AM. I waited for over an hour and no one showed up. I've tried to contact them with no success. Now I'm not going to see either of these attractions because all other tours have left for the day and I'm leaving Brasov early tomorrow morning. Completely unprofessional! Do not use this company!!!

Thank you for your review. Visitors should also know that we called you at your accomodation and also sent you multiple emails for you to reconfirm your participation at the tour as we do regularly with all our bookings, especially the ones made months ahead like yours. We couldn't reach you so we thought you changed your mind about joining us! We are sorry about this missunderstanding!

A friend highly recommended this tour company, and then they cancelled on me with 24 hours. The best part is when I told Manuela I’d booked another tour (we leave in 12 hours) she told me it was my fault as a single traveler in the off-season. Seem like it’s just someone telling one side of the story, find our conversation attached!

Be careful using this company. Although they take credit cards in advance don’t expect them to be accommodating the day of. The tours were ok, but way too crowded in summer high season. And instead of just making it a package tour you have to pay the guide entry fees for each stop. Traffic between Braşov and Peles castle is horrifyingly bad and can add hours onto you tour. Do yourself a favor. Use a different company and don’t try to tour the castles in the summer.

Firstly pick up time was arranged for 8.30 am... we were finally picked up at gone 9. There were two other girls in the van but before we could head off to Bran Castle we had to go back to their hotel and collect their luggage. We had 45 minutes at Bran Castle... no time to take photos from the outside or look at souvenirs in the many shops and stalls.
Lunch was 10 minutes at the gas station and then eat in the van. The other two places we visited Rasnov Fortress and Peles Castle were rushed with our guide walking off ahead of us. She told us at the start of the tour that we would be arriving back in Brasov at 4/4.30pm... this was not the case... we arrived back at 3pm.
Our day was rushed and cut short because the other two guests had a train to catch at 2.30pm so they had to be dropped off at the train station.
We complained and after several weeks received a reimbursement of £17 each when we paid £75 each.
My friend and I were so excited about doing this tour and wanting to see Bran Castle was a dream of ours, only to have the day ruined!
Don't bother with this company, find a different one.

The ad on Trip advisor CLEARLY states
The tour includes a guided visit of the 3 famous castles in Transylvania : Bran Castle/ Dracula's Castle, Rasnov Fortress and Peles Palace with departure from Brasov.
Departure Time, everyday from 9 am, Exclusions, lunch costs are not included
After we were in the van and picking up other people we discovered it did not include ENTRANCE FEES, when you look at The Land of Dracula brochure in the van it clearly states PRICES DO NOT INCLUDE ENTRANCE FEES(Which were 40/30/12 for the 3 sites. $122 seems like a lot for a bus ride

We used the services of the The Land of Dracula not only for the very well organized and lead Land of Dracula tour (we had Manuela who both my daughters and I thought was AWESOME!) but also for some additional tours around the area (bear sanctuary, hiking, cave tour, etc...). Everything was well organized, on time and Manuela had a ton of knowledge about the area that she shared with my daughters and I. One of the best tour experiences we have ever had for sure. Would do again if we ever get out to Romania!!

Ciao!

The web site says not include:entrance ticket,
Do I have to buy the ticket by myself?
Is the ticket agency crowded?
Do I have time to see the sight of the inside of the castle enough?
Because I'ts very far to the castle,I,m worried.
Thank you.

Hola!
No te defraudará!!
María.
