Great for photos, and lingering about.. but the restaurants and cafes around are typical Romanian rubbish. If you decide to sit down somewhere do not venture farther than a coffee or a beer.

Winter or summer, if you have the opportunity to visit The Council Square, you won t be dissapointed. I always enjoy revisiting the Black Church and two orthodox churches near-by, the Historical Museum in the middle of the square and Muresanu Museum on the same street. There are also good restaurants and coffee shops on Republicii street or Enescu Square,... More

Very nice place for walking with plenty of sights, shops and restaurants, especially nice during the sunny days.

Lovely well kept square, which is the centre of the old town. Great place to stop and sit with a beer or cup of coffee and watch the world go by

We liked the square. Lots of nice cafes and restaurants and big open space. Church at one end is ok but charge to go in is a bit pricey. Get some good photos of church outside and square/surrounding area.

This is a beautiful area although there are many shops surrounding here, there are still beautiful sights, the fountain is a perfect place to take pictures of your trip, when you are here you can get lunch.

Like the whole city, this square is very alive with a lot of people which gives it a good vibe. When I was there there was even a musical festival being held so it was even more special and fun.

You cannot be in Brasov without being here! The very heart of the town (an VERY old heart and still beating) the square is the place where locals and visitors are going all the time. You will have everything: restaurants, shops , museums or just seating on a bench by the fountain and enjoy a coffee to go. I know I do... More

The heart of Brasov, with everything you would want in walking distance. All the best cafes, pubs and restaurants are nearby and sitting at a terrace, enjoying the sun and having the view of the Brasov sign on top of the mountain is just gonna make it a place close to your heart.

Thank Patrik C
