Nice area of Sibiu, with some lovely restaurants and atmosphere in the evening. Good to have a wander around if you are nearby.

Make sure you spend time wondering up and down ‘lower town which was one of my favourite parts of visiting Sibiu. Lots of interesting building and places to eat

Part of cities history - and of the former fortifications once surrounding the city. The fortifications built in the XIIIth and XIVth centuries and this is a small portion that is still standing and it was preserved (and refurbished) it its original state.
Finding the place is fairly easy - you decent from the Tower of Stairs and take a left and you can ge back to the "Upper Town" via the Passage of stairs.
So if you are in the area for sure it is worth it to stop for a few pics - it is worth it from my perspective.

Steps from the Golden Barrel restaurant, this narrow pedestrian way between the medieval walls is one of the unique places in Sibiu, a must-see and take pictures of (or with).

The Passage of Stairs was quite cool, but it was much smaller than we imagined and wasn’t really anything more than a set of steps. We actually walked through it whilst looking for the Passage of Stairs, completely unknowingly, before trying to find the passage on the map and realising that we’d gone right through it. There’s no reason not to see them, in a town as small as Sibiu, but don’t expect me to sing the stairs’ praises.

The Passage of the Stairs leads down to the lower section of Sibiu. It descends along some fortifications under the support arches. It is the most picturesque of the several passages linking the two sides of the city.

I took the steps near the Bridge of Lies to go and visit the Lower Town. While walking around here, I saw a signage about this passage.
Not knowing where it would lead me, I took my time climbing this passage. Was glad to see the Piata again!

The walk is very enjoyable to do if you want to feel like you're in a true authentic old city. There are some stairs but it's nothing tedious.
