It's located in the center and it's a must see in Sibiu. The area is nice and you can take some great picture there. There is also a legend which says if you tell a lie while being on the bridge it collapses.

The Bridge of Lies is among the most famous objectives of Sibiu.
The Bridge of Lies or the Lying Bridge is a metal bridge, built in 1859 above the street of Ocnei that connects the Lower and Upper Town.
Due to the fact that the first bridge was raised without support pillars, it was also called the "lying bridge". In the Saxon dialect (local dialect of the German language) "lugenmarchen" is the homonym of the word "lie", hence confusion. It is a pedestrian walkway linking the Little Square with Huet Square and is the oldest iron bridge in service on the current territory of Romania. It was the second European bridge made of cast iron and the first in the Romanian space.
Funny Facts
It is said, for example, that this bridge was crossed especially by the young lovers who swore their love forever. The girls also vowed to be virgins, but after the wedding night the men would find that they actually lied. As a punishment, the girls were thrown off the bridge.
Another legend says that if someone says a lie as they cross, the bridge shakes until it brings the liar with its feet on the ground.
The most famous legend is that the bridge has ears and unimaginable power so that every lie heard, he begins to groan in all joints and collapses, bringing liar grounded
Beyond the legend, the reality is that the Bridge of Lies is one of the most beautiful, but also the oldest iron bridge built in Romania

All new couples will take their pictures there, it seems it is the most photographed spot in Sibiu! Try to not put locks on it, they take them out every two weeks as it damages the structure which is antic!

Very interesting spot in the city, both from architectural standpoint and because of story behind it. Near the main square.

The bridge was erected in 1859 on the original wooden bridge, later called the Liars Bridge.
There are a few practical stories around the name of the bridge, but the most common and well-known is that many residents would gather in their spare time and gossip and even love to exaggerate and propagate false rumors. The city priests were very resentful of the phenomenon and condemned the lies that were spread there. Since the believers say that whoever crosses the bridge and tells a lie then he will collapse instead. One can see on the bridge, on one side a stamp with the year of the Iron Bridge and a Saxon stamp with two cross swords and above it a crown symbolizing the rule of Hungary.

A cute place on a sunny day, lots of flowers and people (not too crowdy). Perfect to take photos, very photogenic, and bit romantic when the weather is fine.

If you want to try and take atmospheric photos of the bridge without the crowds then get there early. It was quiet between 7.30 and 8am and you might have the chance to photo solitary figures crossing or walking under the bridge on their way to work. In the afternoon too many tourists and crowds.

I love the Liars bridge just as much as I love Sibiu. Best city in Romania and in the world for me. I highly recommending visiting.
