A big open, beautiful and lively square. Lots of people, even late at night, after 9pm on a Summer evening. Kids running around, families out on a stroll and tourists soaking in the history of the square. Lots of restaurants and cafes, plus a few bakeries nearby as well.

imagine people with cell phones in 1500AD, rock concerts in 1500AD, opera at an American-Romanian festival, imagine yourself admiring on right the modern Mayor place, and on the left the Evangelical Church (1500AD); just open the cultural agenda of the town, get yourself a bottle of water(o rbuy it.. so cheap), good shoes, good voice, a |I am gonna enjoy... This is the place to begin discovering Sibiu. It has the feel of an old city but alive with cafes and visitors. It is beautiful, especially at sunset.Just sit in one of the many coffee places and watch the sky above the old city turning gold.

Not much to say. A great place to visit and relax watching the water jets or the buildings that surround the square.

This is how a town centre plaza should look. A very large vehicle free area with the impressive clock towers of the excellent Catholic Church and Council Tower on one side, the museum another and impressive old buildings now housing restaurants and hotels. Even a stage when we were there hosting traditional music and dance one night, pop music another.... More

Nice place, with beautiful buildings. I took a walk in the evening and had there a very good "gogoasa cu telemea" and then a great icecream.

It is in the heart of Sibiu. There are restaurants and hotels around the square. Its full of peace and quiet in the morning. Birds are all around. I miss being there now. You can walk through and do everything like eating, drinking and shopping. Its definitely a must see place in Sibiu.
