Externally impressive, the walk up the stairs, a combination of stone winding staircase and open tread ladder stairs totalling about 100 steps. Small photography displays on a couple of floors, nothing on others. The windows on the top floor do not open so limiting the view and photography would be through glass, dirty in parts. Only 2 lei entry and... More

We eagerly climbed the many windy steps to get the privilege of the 360 great views of Sibiu - and loved it. We found it disappointing that the windows on the top floor of the tower do not open forcing you to endure the heat (almost unbreathable) and the 'noses' 'stains' and 'reflexes' on every one of your otherwise very... Climbing the tower offers a great spot to have a glance at the beauty of the old city and to take a few snapshots with your camera. It s cheap and lots of fun if you are travelling with kids as well

A tower in the main square with great views over the two central squares and the city of Sibiu. Only cost 2 lei each (nothing!). We really enjoyed looking at the clock mechanism. Each of the 7 floors has a space that is sometimes used for exhibitions which breaks up the climb.

Counted - 130 steps up towards the viewing platform (that's around 7 floor high tower), definitely much easier than the Lutheran church and it's just 2 leu

This is a great thing to see you have to climb a few stairs to get to the top but when you do there is a view of all of Sibiu. You can see the big square, little square and the beautiful mountains in the back! Only 2 lei really cheap.

Quite an experience climbing up the steps of all seven floors of this ancient tower. Besides the view at the top, there is also an art gallery on the first floor (now there is a very nice street photography exhibition) & you get to see the clock works also.

Sibiu is rich with turnuls (towers actually) - but this one is a nice landmark - below is the passage between piata mare and piata mica - so you'll see quite a lot of this turnul when visiting sibiu :-)
