Great location, actually a huge park where you can walk and take time to admire old Romanian traditional village houses. Preserved in very good conditions, it's areal pleasure to walk along the alleys and discover a hose between the trees, an then another one and another one... You can take a break and have a lunch / dinner if you... More

It's not located in the center of the town but is easily accesible by car or by bus (no.13). It takes a few hours to visit the whole musesum (~4 hours). It's the most beautiful village museum I've seen so far. All the little houses from diferent regions in Romania are well kept and show how people used to live... More

A place that takes you back in time, a history of rural settlements in Romania, traditions and living conditions in the past.

I really love this place! Many of the farms have gardens and animals that make them come to life even more. They have retirees watching over things at some places and they can occasionally let you see inside or explain how things were used. I actually visited on two different times because there really is too much stuff to see... More

This museum is well compiled on a large area of land with Forrest and lakes. A path winds through all the traditional houses, businesses and artefacts. Must see while in Sibiu

One of the best museums of this kind in Europe, to say at least. A place full of history and a great location, as well.

The park is really beautiful, with nice slopes, lakes, streams to rest your eyes. But it also regroups some ancien buildings from all around Romania : old farms, hostels, workshops, smiths, etc. that have been used for real then transported and renovated in this place. A great place to take photos. There are restaurants all year and animations sometimes

We didn't have time to visit any remote townships so decided this was a good option. Worth the visit! Great to see all the old windmills and housing. As well as farm machinery. Very affordable to go too!! And is right next to the zoo so could do both. There is a public bus that goes out there - is... More

The place is huge. You can spend 4 hours just taking a very quick look at everything. So, a good place to find out more about Romanian villages and at the same time to burn some calories while walking all those kilometers.
