Daniel did a fantastic job of organizing a photo tour with two photographer friends leading the photography part of our experience while he concentrated on the logistics. We stayed in wonderful hotels, had a great bus driver, were given restaurant recommendations when group meals weren’t planned, and saw more sites and did more things than I would ever have thought possible in a 9-day tour. In addition to organizing the aforementioned logistics, Daniel also organized visits to an olive oil producing farm near Kalamata that included a tour, tasting, and a light meal, a visit to an orange orchard complete with unlimited fresh squeezed orange juice, a cooking lesson, and an excellent meal with wines included, and a winery tour that included wine tasting and a fabulous meal. We had guided tours of the Acropolis, Monemvasia, and Epidaurus (ancient healing center). All-in-all, a memorable trip that was very well run. I would definitely travel again with Daniel leading the way. 😊

Daniel Rosca guided our recent tour of Translyvania beginning in Cluj and travelling through much of the countryside of this beautiful area. Daniel provided us with unique accommodation, wonderful food experiences and lots of information about the history and current issues surrounding Romania. Of particular note was the visit to a Gypsy family and the chance to photograph them and to learn so much about their lives. Unlike the stereotype of this ethnic group this family was the proud owner of a substantial house and business. The family dressed in vibrant coutumes and were wonderfully hospitable. Daniel's knowledge enabled us to have a deep appreciation of the lives of these people. Daniel's organisation and people skills come highly recommended.

Being of Rumanian decent, a trip
To Rumania was on my bucket list ! And the tour with Daniel couldn’t have been better ! We toured villages, attended festivals, listened to Rumanian music and spent a day with the gypsies! Daniel ensured I had all my questions answered, attended a beautiful Romanian wedding in the countryside, watched a baptismal, and made us feel totally part of the Rumanian culture! He introduced us to sweet old ‘Bunicas’ as well as introducing our taste buds to authentic local foods — a wonderful reminder for me of eating at my granny’s table! I recommend this tour for anyone who wants to immerse in Romanian country and its peoples!

Daniel Rosca creates and runs an excellent tour.
My wife and I recently went on a really fun, stimulating photo tour of Greece, created and run by Daniel. He found many great visual sites that provided lots of opportunity for photos (and worked in plenty of good food, and an excellent wine tasting) in unique and unusual historic, market, farm and urban locations. Daniel goes above and beyond to create a truly customized and memorable experience for his clients!
Daniel does more than just create a schedule and march you through it. He’s truly present and engaged during the tour, making the small adjustments needed to keep the group occupied, interested, and working together smoothly. His attention to detail made this tour a real success.
Daniel is a genuine, helpful person, that’s a pleasure to have a a travel companion. Thank you, Daniel, for such a memorable experience!

Highest praise for Daniel Rosça and Romania Photo Tours. I've now traveled twice with Daniel and each time was outstanding. Daniel knows and love Romania and its complex culture. His knowledge and skills as a tour operator helped getting you to the right place at the right time. His inside knowledge has allowed for n unique access and opportunities that I would not have otherwise known about or been able to access. All along he will also look for impromptu opportunities for local photoshoots - from a farmer haying his pig to an elderly wool cropper who, in turn, invited us into his home.
I can't say enough good things about Daniel and highly recommend him.

My trip to Transylvania with Daniel was more than just a fantastic opportunity to see and photograph literally incredible sites that I never otherwise would have known about - it was also a chance to learn a great deal about Romania, its history and culture, and about photographic techniques that I was only vaguely familiar with. Daniel is a great guide, he knows his stuff, and finds places that are really only just coordinates on the map that are astoundingly beautiful (if you are willing to get up and go into the mountains before sunrise). Also, we had great conversations about Eastern Europe because (my command of Romanian being nil) he has a sophisticated control of English so we could get into complex discussions along the way. To cut to the chase, this trip was far better than I would have expected.

My travel buddy and I took a private photo tour with Daniel and it was fabulous. He created an itinerary that included all the cultural highlights and sites we were interested in and provided numerous unique photo opportunities. Can't recommend Romania Photo tours enough. Also the food was great!

Had an incredible tour with Daniel leading the way through the Peloponnese region of Greece! He managed to have us cover a lot of ground with absolutely zero hiccups…..and in a way that didn’t feel overwhelming. We saw important and interesting cultural places on and off the beaten path. With a photographers eye in mind, he found fantastic and unique spots for a taste of the local people, culture, and landscapes. He found great guides with in depth knowledge of key historic sites. To top it off we had one delicious culinary experience after another!! Thank you Daniel.

I had the good fortune to join a Light and Land photographic tour guided by Daniel Rosca at the end of October. It covered the Transylvania region and was both informative and good fun. Daniel took us to great places, introduced us to some lovely people and was very easy to get along with. I had no real expectations of România before my trip, other than of some brilliant autumn shots, but also came away with a liking for the place and its people. We were made to feel most welcome and Daniel’s extensive knowledge of the history, people, culture and of photography, left me with a real sense of the country. I find that really useful in developing my own style and it has a pronounced impact on my pictures. I recommend Daniel very highly.

Daniel is not only a knowledgeable tour guide but he is an amazing photographer. We were lucky enough to have him as our translator, our consultant on photography but even more exciting was his flexibly to adjust to any situation such as coming to a screeching halt in front of a farmhouse to photograph an older woman sitting by her barn. We ended up got 5 generation of woman and a child. He took us to a wedding where we were greeted as if we were the family and served the best rolled cabbage imaginable. Book with Daniel he is the best.
