Absolutely great diving experience

Excellent dive shop! Great experience: starting with the easy communication, professional staff, nice service, small party, quiet, not crowded sites. Stefan is an awesome divemaster and instructor: kind, patient, and attentive to details, especially when it comes to safety. While earning my Open Water Diver certification last summer, July 2021, Stefan introduced me to the underwater world. Recently I had a few dives in the Caribbean and being the only rookie on the team, I felt better trained than some of the seasoned divers. If you are near Varna, don’t miss the Baracuda Dive Centre.

Friendly dive center, with amazing staff and great instructor!

I really recommend this dive center in Varna! Stefan at Baracuda dive was a overall a amazing dive instructor and a person. He was really helpful during my planing with my dives. I did a night dive with him, and one other diver. Prior to the dive, we had a BBQ with amazing bunch of people. Which was one of my highlights on my trip in Varna, Bulgaria. I wished that I could have done more dives with this dive center and I couldn’t recommend it more highly.

It was little hard to find the location, but not to worry. Stefan is really friendly and will help you find the way.

Well prepared despite the last minute booking.

Me and my wife decided to go diving. We booked at 4 pm for the next day not thinking much about the logistics. Stefan contacted us in no time and offered information about where to meet and other useful info.
We met next day as planned and despite some challenges with my own equipment we received help and were able to dive as planned.
Both Stefan and the dive master were safety and customer oriented. We received a clear and full briefing and the dives where nice. The center is well equipped and the compressor is a German Bauer (for those who concerne themselves with the quality of the breathing air).
Overall a positive experience.

Outstanding Dive Experience in the Black Sea

Diving with Stefan was superb. He kept in great communication before the dive and picked us up at our hotel in Golden Sands. Gear and boat were excellent, and he’s a wonderful instructor. He took my boys on their first open water dive and was so patient, and very good at making sure we had a top-notch experience. The dive was great and he even made the boat ride to and from the dive site a fun event. I enthusiastically recommend diving with Stefan for anyone who visits Varna.

Baracuda Varna - two thumbs up!

Florin and I traveled to Bulgaria without high expectation, and found Baracuda with very good reviews. It’s absolutely true! In Stefan’s hands, our “refreshed” dives turned out to be splendid. The waves were not comfortable in Varna (more than 1m), then he drove us to another place (Primorsko - 170km to south and towards Turkey) to ensure our best experience in Black Sea.

I highly recommend Baracuda as your dive partner. Not only professionalism, but also warm welcome and advices will make you feeling at ease. Stefan apparently has talent to be an underwater photographer, by taking amazing pictures and videos surrounded by jellyfishes. We are impressed! Surely we will come back to Varna to experience other dives with him and Baracuda team.

Two dives in Varna

I did two dives in Varna. I called Stefan one day before, and he responded quick and enthusiastic. There was no problem for me to go on a dive. I am an certified open water diver, and i could join two people who were doing their open water course. He even picked me up in the city centre. The trip was nice. We sailed some place located just outside Varna. We saw some seahorses, crabs and various other species. The Black Sea is obviously not full of corals etc. But there were many other beautiful things to see. It was still worth it to be in the water again. Stefan was very kind. He was a true professional and very knowledgable. I would definitely recommended the Baracuda dive centre!

Great wreck dives in the Black Sea

3 great days of wreck diving in the Black Sea: mine sweepers, submarines... all great. And I was quite lucky: calm seas and very good visibility.

We were just a small group on the boat (captain - with a fantastic nose for weather forecasts - the diveshop owner and a divemaster-trainee.

The departure times were early in the morning, but well worth it. It wasn't a problem to be picked up to get to the boat in time, good service, good atmosphere.

I'm sure there are more wrecks to be explored... a good reason to go back!

Wreck diving in Black Sea

Stefan was very responsive to my emails and messages and was able to arrange wreck diving and perfect weather during the time I had available. We did a check dive first and afterwards dived two different submarines, one from first world war and another from second world war. Overall I was very satisfied with everything and would dive again with Stefan anytime.

Highly recommended dive centre

My experience was entirely positive. Quick response to my initial enquiry via email and then the trip was arranged on Whatsapp. Stefan collected us from our hotel, right on time, and we had an excellent morning dive at the Seahorse Garden site - clear, still water, only 15 minutes' boat trip from Varna. All equipment was included and Stefan was very attentive throughout the dive to make sure we were happy. Plenty to see, even out of the sea horse season.

Hello, we had the opportunity to dive in bulgaria, it was different experience a great one. Stefan and the crew at baracuda diving where great with explaining what we will be seeing and what to expect as well as very helpful. We would definitely recommend to use their service.
