The park-museum „Vladislav Varnenchik” is a memorial complex, situated in the center of the battlefield, in the middle of an unique park on an area of 30 decares. In the exposition every visitor has the possibility to see :
arms and equipment from XV century, found on the battlefield (helmets, cross-bows, swords, shields, spears, etc.) paintings, sculptures, prints and other works of art, dedicated to the battle of Varna flags, models, tickets and coats of arms.

The museum is rather small yet not crowded. Exhibision is interesting - worth spending an hour here.

It's worth paying a visit when in Varna. Unfortunately it's closed two days in a week (Mon, Tue), both the museum and the entrance to the park. You can reach it by bus no 22, which stops for example by the main bus station - it takes you directly to the park-museum.

I wish I could write more, but the park was closed for no apparent reason on a sunday. I'm in Varna for 3 days and this was one of the reasons I chose to come here. It's a good thing I liked the rest of the city and its museums.

The city needs to get a few people active in correcting misleading information on the web. The nearby site of the discovery of the 'Varna Culture' graves is also listed as a 'museum'. It is an industrial site. No museum exists here.

I was surprised by the beauty of the parc and the solitude of the mausolem while there are every day excursions going there from Poland to pay their respect to the Polish king and to the Polish-Bulgarian friendship which resulted in funding such a proud monument.

The place is at te outskirts of the city so if you travel here only for this it is probably not worth it. The staff is of no help at all and language is bulgarian. They have a small room of mostly replicas of the armaments found on the battlefield. I was hoping to learn more about the battle but I guess that what Google is for. The cool thing were the swords. You get the feeling how big they are. And the pine trees around the mausoleum make a nice shade. Plus they smell nice. It's a shame they are not interested in sharing any information.

Beautiful park, very well preserved museum, the weather was nice and sunny, we had fantastic time. The staff at the museum was very knowledgeable. This place, being a playground of one of the most important civilization battles in the history, underlines the importance of my city.A must see in Varna.
