The outside is currently under renovation so covered by scaffolding, however the inside is the star of the show anyway. Beautiful frescos & icons, well preserved. Has a lovely calming atmosphere.

Interesting Orthodox cathedral with very well preserved icons and frescoes (in Bulgaria the icons usually turn black because of the candles used).

Outside this cathedral is not so interesting but inside it’s stunning spatially and materially and very uplifting. Not busy when I visited. To buy candles there is a small shop just as you enter the Main part of the building. The religious objects are quite stunning but one needs to get close. Interesting hung lighting/ chandeliers of carved hard wood bring a delight to the spaces. Not much seating inside. The tiled floor is pedestrian when compared to what is above and hopefully one day this will be upgraded. Pop-in and enjoy the spiritual calm and the cool.…

Incredible architecture. An emblematic building in Varna. Must be visited and examined. The summer night with the lights is beautiful.
