It was a wonderful experience. The lady that works there is amazing! She is kind, helpful and makes you feel comfortable. The whole process takes 20 minutes. In those 20 minutes i felt the Bulgarian tradition since we were dressed with authentic Bulgarian clothing.I definitely suggest retro photo. Is cheap and worths.

It was my first time visiting Bulgaria, and I was looking for a unique souvenir I could bring home. I then stumbled upon Old Plovdiv Retro Photo, which turned out to be the perfect fit! Lyuben was very friendly with me when I entered the shop and very enthusiastic about his craft. At first, I was worried they would not have clothes that would fit me for the shoot as I'm 6'8" (204cm) but alas, my height was no match for the selection of outfits they carry! It was my first time doing this type of photoshoot on the fly and Lyuben made this experience very pleasant. He was very creative and fast at composing different looks with no rehearsal, as well as very professional throughout the shoot. The final results were amazing and delivered to me very promptly. If you are looking to create great memories to last a lifetime in Plovdiv, Bulgaria that you can proudly share with friends and family, I highly recommend stopping into Old Plovdiv Retro Photo!

We were a group of 10 or so friends who passed by the studio and decided to give it a go. The owner told us upfront it’d take about 45 minutes - and then took care to dress each of us in traditional costume. He then did a great job advising on how to pose with various props, and then efficiently helped us choose our favourite images that he then edited and printed. We were beyond delighted both with the experience - which included a lot of laughter all round - and photo prints that are both high quality and silly enough to bring a smile to our faces. Highly recommended!

It was a very hot day and I was in two minds to do it but it was quick, efficient and there are fans to keep you cool. I liked how the owner chose a couple of options of costumes that would suit us best and we made a choice from those offered. It was lots of fun but also meaningful as it was an Australian (me) connecting with Bulgarian family members I never met in person. We were thrilled with the result.

A friend and I went curious about the place and it was a wonderful experience. We had a great time and the memory that remains is fantastic. The girl who took the photos was very helpful and absolutely professional. The clothes we wore, the accessories we used, everything was perfect. Thank you!

This is a fun and memorable activity in the heart of Old Plovdiv. Lyuben and Viktoria are gracious, professional, and kind, and the photos are fantastic. They have good instincts about what will work for a family or a couple, and they are friendly throughout the process. The price is reasonable, especially for the quality of the photos. Go to the Ethnographic Museum and then come and see them!

We had a great time with our large family group (10) and are really happy with the results! The staff are friendly, professional, efficient and charismatic… it actually felt like a privilege to wear these authentic Bulgarian clothes and was a lot of fun. There is no hard sell - the photos are really great and well presented, including digital photos from the shoot. Highly recommend !

I'm so happy we've done it! Initially we were quite skeptical, but Old Plovdiv Retro Photo did an amazing job in creating those retro photos, making it a fun experience to all of us. Excellent posing, authentic accessories, great filters, etc. If you're in Plovdiv, simply don't miss it!
