A MUST-SEE CITY!
Sep 2021
This city is a living museum, with very old buildings, cobblestone streets, churches, museums, restaurants... don't miss the opportunity to get to know it.

So worth a good walk around
Jul 2021
We visited Plovdiv well over 10 years ago and visited again last weekend. The old town is still great to walk around with the cobbled streets and lovely old trading houses to walk around.

Historical relaxing city break
Jul 2021 • Couples
We only visited Bulgaria as a means to get to the UK during covid times and I'm glad we did.
4 days in the outskirts of Sofia were interesting, although we had a boutique apartment the outskirts of the capital are less than desirable.
We travelled to plovdiv for the rest of our stay. We travelled by private taxi which I highly recommend and same price as the train. Our driver was happy to tell us all about the area. We booked him again to drive us back to Sofia Airport.

Plovdiv we stayed in luxery city center apartments through booking.com which were fantastic, self catering 2 balconies to soak up the city sun and relax.
So much to do and see in plovdiv and most walking distance.
The people we found to be happy and chatty, glad to look after tourists.

Plovis a bustling but relaxing place where restaurants spill out into the pedestrian streets, people sit, drink, eat and watch the world go by.

One of the nicest places I have been to in Bulgaria, you walk in the past around your nice architecture and don't forget to check out the insides of these beautiful houses.

Plovdiv Kapana
May 2021 • Couples
Plovdiv is also a modern city with plenty restaurants. The Town District “Kapana” is a place to be for an evening meal. A lot of youngsters are dining and wining there.

Nice walk
Jun 2021
The old town of Plovdiv is very well preserved and there are plaques on the street, in English and Bulgarian, describing the specific site and it's significance. There are a lot of restaurants and souvenir shops throughout the old town and it is easy to get around by foot. Recommend wearing sturdy shoes as the old cobblestone streets are uneven for walking.
