Kamen helped me with a custom tour to see things I really wanted to see. Starting in Kazanlak we went to the museum and I was blown away by the amount of history in such a small museum. Kamen was able to explain everything and made it really interesting. Then we went to the rose museum which is a MUST. Really interesting and if your going to buy rose oil, this is the best place to buy authentic oil.
Then off to Buzludzha which was on my bucket list. It was so amazing to see.
Then shipka and saw tomb of Seuthes and the memorial church.

Because I was there during the rose season we were able to stop at a rose field and pick a rose to smell on the way home🌹 was a great day

Kamen is a wonderful guide! He is very friendly, clearly super experienced and knowledgeable, enjoys what he does, and speaks great English. He made us feel very comfortable and at every stop he provided an incredible amount of information we would never have had on our own. Next time we are in Plovdiv we will definitely take another tour with him!

Kamen and Stoyan have provided us with excellent experiences on multiple trips to Bulgaria! They’ve been very accommodating, and a pleasure to be around. They’re extremely knowledgeable about Bulgaria’s history, natural attractions and everything you’d need to have a great visit to this beautiful country. We look forward to traveling with them again!

Please see my review of the Wonderful Bridges tour. This company helped us appreciate the wonders available in the Plovdiv area. My mark for the Wonderful Bridges tour was a mean 4 star! Koprivshtitsa and Perperikon were definitely 5 star plus. Kamen, Stoyan and Demetri are fist class people and excellent guides. We look back on our holiday with great pleasure.

We returned to Bulgaria after a 9 year break, having previously enjoyed Sofia, the Rila and Pirin areas. We wanted to see the best in the Plovdiv area. Plovdiv Trips were a super company who transferred us from Sofia via the wonderful historic town of Koprivshtitsa. We then took 3 full-day trips of which this was the first. All were well worthwhile. Kamen, Stoyan and Demetri were lovely people and very good guides. The restaurants they took us to were also great! They also drove us back to Sofia. All good vfm.

We booked a transfer, a tour and a combined tour and transfer with Plovdiv Trips and we were delighted with all three. Whilst we were arranging and booking out tours the communication with Kamen and the speed with which he replied was excellent. It didn’t seem t matter what time of day or night I sent an email he replied immediately.

Our first transfer was to our hotel in Plovdiv from Plovdiv Airport. Kamen had warned us in advance that he wasn’t able to provide an English speaking driver for the transfer but that the man who would be driving was his father and that he would be holding a sign with our name on not when we arrived. Had there been any problems we could have called or used his father’s phone to call Kamen. However his father was where he said he would be, he did have a sign, he was very friendly, provided a very quick service and helped us with our luggage. The cost of this transfer was EURO 18.

Our first tour was to “Kazanlak, Rose Valley and the valley of the Thracian Kings”. Kamen himself took us on this tour. Kamen is a personable man with very good English and a very good knowledge of the area. We had an excellent day visiting several very important sites. When the tour was over we felt that we had benefitted from his experience and his guiding skills. The cost of our tour was EURO 90.

Our combined tour and transfer was from our hotel in Plovdiv to our hotel in Sofia by way of Koprivshtitsa and the Starosel Thracian Temple. Stoya (sp?) was our driver for this day. Again his English is near perfect and his knowledge excellent. This day was different from the previous day’s tour but equally enjoyable. He was able to judge when we were getting cultural overload and adjust the tour to fit. Making our transfer from Plovdiv to Sofia with Stoya meant that we had a thoroughly enjoyable day transferring from one centre to another whilst seeing part of Bulgaria that we would not otherwise have seen or even known about. The cost of the tour/transfer was EURO 126.

If we are ever in Plovdiv again we will use Kamen and his service and would not hesitate to recommend his services to anyone.

Kamen, his father and Stoya - thank you.

We were picked up at our apartment in a private car and first drove to the fortress. All along the way our guide, Kaman, told us interesting things about Bulgaria. When we got there he personally escorted us through the complex. He had a comprehensive knowledge of the place, it's history and of the surrounding countryside. The fortress is perched high up in the hills and is an incredible thing to see. The view is amazing.

Afterwards we were to the monastery. Again we were personally escorted around and told all sorts of interesting facts. The frescos in the main church are gorgeous and in amazingly good condition. Afterwards we took a short walk along a nature trail and took pictures by a waterfall.

We were picked up around 9:30 and returned around 1:30. It was a great day. Kaman did an excellent job.

I can give only the highest praise to this excellent tour company. We had Stoyan as our driver and guide for our day trip from Plovdiv in early February. He was punctual, polite, knowledgeable and extremely solicitous of our well-being and enjoyment, as well as being a good driver. We enjoyed spending the day in his company and felt completely safe and well looked after at all times. Stoyan imparted a lot of information about Bulgarian history and culture, while also respecting our wish for some quiet times in the car as well. The only reason to think twice about doing this tour IN WINTER is that when we went the walking paths to the Wonderful Bridges and were ice-covered and slippery. No one could have been kinder or more helpful than Stoyan in helping us over the ice, but in the end we couldn't go right down to see the bridges from beneath. To get the best out of this attraction, you really need to go in spring, summer or autumn. The Fortress and Monastery were amazing, and so was our delicious lunch of bean soup.
