It's a small church in the old town of Plowdiw. There are nice mural paintings inside. Next to the church there is a bell-tower, which you don't see so often in orthodox churches. The church had originally been built by Emporer Konstantin (my name twin :D ) - but has been reconstructed several times since then. However, it felt cool... More

It located in the heart of the Old Town of Plovdiv and, if I remember well, is located opposite or next to Ethnographic Museum. It's a very beautiful Church, well maintained and with a beautiful interior. It's quite small but notable for its exterior frescoes and hagiographies.. ✿

Very pretty! You can take pictures outside of cathedral but not inside. Make sure you take some Bulgarian currency to buy some candles.

This is a smaller edifice that some but it is more impressive. The interior is beautiful with a great deal of splendid gold leaf and quite well maintained. In fact when we visited this last time a lady was painstakingly repairing and replacing damaged parts (see photos). The exterior has some very nice artwork as well. Worth a visit.

Its magnificent Baroque carvings feature two rows of icons (small portraits of saints) made by notable artists of the Renaissance. Icon Gallery: In the courtyard of the Church, there is the Icon Gallery which holds a collection... More

While in Plovdiv take the time to visit most (if not all) of its churches not seen elsewhere! Spend some time admiring the icons and contemplating the simple pleasure of life!

Very nice old small church in the heart of old city. It is holding lots of wedding ceremonies, so you can find a lot of happy newly weds and dressy people around. You can walk in the small yard or go inside the church to admire the beautiful decoration.
