Herzegovina Wine and Food Experience

This tour takes us in two of the most charismatic and respected winemakers in Bosnia&Herzegovina, both based in the picturesque wine country of Mostar.

Family Čorić in his sensational wine tasting cellars Andrija, which are based on the rocky desert-like plateau, and his exceptional use of indigenous grapes as well as international varieties is a wonderful journey of discovery.

Much smaller in production, but far more experimental with his unique organic wines made from indigenous grapes from Herzegovina, Josip Brkić candlelit tasting experience in his family wine cellar could not be more intimate. Add to that a selection of his excellent flavoured olive oils, and here is the perfect introduction to the fruits of Herzegovina, expertly handled.

We have carefully created this tour to showcase the incredible beauty of the Mostar area and to introduce you to the best eats and drinks that the Herzegovina has to offer.

My wife and I visited Mostar this January and decided to take a trip with Ćamil and his partner Samira to explore some local areas we'd not visited before. What an amazing time to explore this magical nature! Ćamil has an encyclopedic knowledge of this area and was filling us in on the history of the places we visited as we experienced them, both informative and exceptionally interesting. We started by driving out of Mostar town and headed to the fortress of Herzeg Stephan where we enjoyed a short hike to the peak with wonderful views of Mostar and the surrounding area. From here we continued to the beautiful natural spring of Bunica, crystal clear waters and incredible colours! From here we drove on to Podvelež (the bottom of the Velež mountain). Here we stopped in a lovely restaurant to sample the tea made from local wild herbs combined with the wonderful local honey - a true delight. Accompanied by beef pršut (think parma ham, but beef!) Kajmak (a local free range cow cheese) and a hot crispy fried bread, it was a most welcomed culinary treat. As the light started to fade, we returned to Mostar along the stunning road from Podvelež, taking in the evening views of Mostar, eventually arriving in the old town where we stopped for a glass of the wonderful local Blatina red wine at a small and intimate Konoba. Overall, it was an experience we will never forget and will definitely repeat on subsequent visits. Ćamil and Samira were perfect hosts and made the trip so very enjoyable. We would highly recommend this type of personalised tour!

My friends and I (3 of us) took a tour to Blagaj, Počitelj, Roman fortress, Kravice and sunset view at Hum hill. We went on winter so we literally owned the places since nobody around! Our tour guide was a very knowledgeable guide, he showed us the beauty of sunset in Mostar at place we never thought existed. Great place, kind-hearted people and amazing food will make you fall in love with BiH. Highly recommended tour with this guide!!

Camil was just fantastic! The tour involved Blagaj Tekke, Poclitej & the amazing Kravice falls. He was very informative & knowledgeable about the history, political situation & geography of Herzegovina. He also personalised our tour to meet our requests albeit in a very bad weather & made it enjoyable by taking off the beaten path. Since the tour had to be shortened due to the weather, he took us around the old town & showed us the scenic view of Stari Mostar & recommended a delicious restaurant to have dinner. All this at a discount...Kudos Camil!
