It was fascinating to learn that the Ottomans had assisted in the construction of this church in 1866. It was destroyed in 1992 during the Balkan wars and a larger building was constructed in 2000 as replacement. When we visited in April, work was ongoing...More

The bell tower is huge but the architecture is pretty uninspiring - feels as if they have focussed on size over style. We wouldn’t have made a special trip to see it but our tour rendezvous point was there.

There is free parking area. Very good place to leave a car and go to Old Town. How do you find this place? It is simple - must find biggest church tower.

My wife and I were here on a tour from US mid-May. This tall landmark is easy to see; our bus parked right nearby. To me, the church is ok, but nothing that you would say "Must See". It is very close to the Old...More
