Believe it or not, this splendid building is a secondary school! Unable to access the inside for this very reason, but the grand exterior is stunning. According to record, it is one of the first schools in post-war Bosnia and Herzegovina where dissimilar nationalities and...More

I asked some young people getting out of this building about its name. They told me that it is a school and not a tourist attraction. I took some pictures before leaving. Two attractions located near it are a small park that appeared to be...More

Firstly great that the gymnasium has been restored and it looks stunning and vibrant. However I was saddened to hear that 2 schools operate within the gymnasium, with different curricula and different teachers and the students don’t mix. For me personally this is not inclusive...More

I can't see nothing interesting here. It's a modern building, at least in its current life. Looks shiny and brand new, no personality, just walls brightly painted.

It's a beautiful building and is a must see if you enjoy architecture, just pass by it on your way to the old city and take photos - you don't need to spend much time there.

Despite everything bad that happened in city of Mostar, formerly called gimnazija Aleksa Šantić, is still standing in all its beauty in the very heart of the city. Flamboyant, proud architectural beauty of Mostar.

The thing that struck me most of this building were two things, the first colors very strong and hot and the architectural style, the second thing instead its location, slightly away from the historic center, in an area today still surrounded by dilapidated buildings and...More
