Sometimes an attraction can bring back a lot of recent historical events...this was Stari Most. Recalling that this bridge was blown up during the war was a sad reminder of recent times. It is great that it has been rebuilt as a reminder that nothing...More

It's a cool bridge. Nice views. If I stumbled upon it I'd almost certainly be blown away. But as a major destination, I don't really get it. The things we saw during our 5 days in Bosnian were some of the greatest I've ever seen....More

The bridge is narrow and slippery with an awful lot of people milling about pretty aimlessly or taking photos. The men who stand about in their speedos never actually jump of the bridge (or if they do it’s very rare). Kind of annoying when you...More

Although this isn’t an original feature (it was rebuilt after being destroyed in the war) it’s still very beautiful to see. Walking down to the bottom of the bridge provides you with a great platform for photographs and to watch the local men walk along...More

Such a great place to see with lots of history. Don’t give in to the people jumping off in to the water asking for money to jump because they take a long time to do it and many people jump for fun.

If in the Balkans or Croatia, take a day trip to Bosnia, its a lot cheaper than Croatia, and get pictures of the iconic Bridge.

The best way to see this iconic structure is via a €5 boat trip from the rocks below the bridge . This takes you in 10 minutes to either side of the bridge . The bridge itself is crowded during the day and the bazar...More

The best time to see the bridge is in the morning before 0930 or after 1800... the crowds gone and you have it to yourself. You can get a great view from the river looking up on the tower side.

I guess you can’t visit Mostar without the obligatory visit to the bridges over the river and this was probably the most hectic. Destroyed during the war and completely rebuilt afterwards, let’s hope it’s there for many years to come.

I saw a photo of this bridge on the internet which is the only reason we decided to include Mostar in our travels. Believe me, it did not disappoint! For the best view, go down the path to the river and watch the sun go...More

You may also want to go into the mosque which is open to visitors for a small fee. Not being Muslim it was interesting to me to go in to see what it looks like inside. From the side garden by the river, it's a great photo... More
