The tower is the highest building in the area and thus, a perfect place for a sniper to be hiding in it. Once you visit it, you will see why.

A bit tricky but definitely worth the visit. Enter the tower and climb up to the roof, the view is amazing and chilling at the same time - it’s the same the croatian snipers used during the war to kill civilians. Seems to have been...More

This is maybe the most impressive building that represents the war. The bullet holes, graffiti and also the story if it being used as a sniper spot... You just got to see it, along with some other destroyed buildings. Afterwards do visit the war museum...More

In addition to historical significance, this place offers a stunning view over the city. Also some of the graffitis are pretty nice but not spectacular. Heard from a local on the top that the building is going to be repurposed as some kind of offices...More

This is an old abandoned 8 storey bank building near the Spanish square. It is closed off to the public but easy to get in to - the grate covering the exit on the back side is easy to crawl under. It is a little...More

Stumbled across this on the way back from the Bruce lee statue. Very cool graffiti covers bullet-riddled walls. Actually didn’t know the significance of the building until I saw it on TripAdvisor just now...definitely worth a look.

This is a striking building with a sobering history. It was immediately recognisable to me, so I’m glad we saw it. We obeyed the signs and didn’t go in. Not that close to Old Town so I wouldn’t make a detour to see it unless...More

Probably illegal to jump the fence and a tiny bit unsafe to make your way up, but you'll likely be fine doing it and will find it worth the risk.

It is a place of great historical significance and an important building to see. Used to be a bank once, but during the war it was repurposed as a sniper tower.

this is my fav building, possibly in the world.. it may not make sense to some when they see it, but its a curiosity for me.. a cool sight mixed with the feeling of the war... it used to be possible to go into it.....More
