Dating from the 16th century and restored this is worth a short visit from its historical value, but it is not very impressive. It is situated in parkland up a slope from tghe parking area. One comment of the group was "underwhelmed" and this sums...More

This is a very small mosque from centuries ago. It is empty but i sometimes used for gallery or exhibitions. Its located in the fortress. Not on a grand mosque but hold significant history for the people of serbia.

The Mosque is situated in the fortress on the left hand side of the walk. It's a nice piece of architecture and although worn still has an attractive essence to it. It's worth a look if you are in the fortress.

The building is not the most spectacular looking but it is very old. You can easily walk all the way around the Mosque to see it in different angles.

It is good that the building is preserved but on the other hand it wouldn't have mattered if not. I believe this should be listed out from the sightseeing agenda in Nis.

A nice example of Ottoman architecture. The oldest mosque in Nis. Well-preserved. Nowadays used as an art gallery.

It says on the tourist map and information board Beli-Bey Mosque. A well preserved mosque but no longer using for religious matters. It was empty inside and sometimes use for exhibition. You can't miss this as you walk around the Niš Fortress.

The most beautiful historic building in the city, an early 16th century mosque, one of the few that survived destruction after the defeat of the Ottoman Turks. The architecture is simple: a square building with a circular dome on top. The skilful masonry is well...More
