Very easy to find and accessible. You can park by the road. The fortress is on top of a hill overlooking the Bay of Kotor. You cannot enjoy this view from inside the fortress. Still, a very interesting walk because the building is quite well preserved. It is worth taking a flashlight with you, because it is sometimes dark there. You definitely have to be careful, because the building is old and falling apart.

A nice hike taking up half a day.
You pass through forest and a lot of U turns and panoramic views. Potentially, there will be goats on your way up but they get out of the way (if you ask nicely).
On top of the hill is the creepy bunker and on the other side some abandoned houses.
Tips:
- Do this walk in the morning to enjoy the cool weather and see a calm bay.
- download the 'maps.me' app which has this walk built in.
- takes up no more than 4 hours in total.

Absolutely recommend to hike up to this fort from Muo for the really beautiful views, as well as the great wildlife we saw! The fort can be entered through the windows, and was hands down one of the spookiest place we have ever been. Only to be explored with good footwear and a good flashlight though, since there were some holes in the floor. Really beautiful and eerie spot!

Walk up to Vrmac from Kotor was enjoyable and well marked on stony path, with some good views over the bay through the trees. View from the top was spectacular over Tivat to the bay and further to the sea.
However, the Fort at the top is overgrown and inaccessible, which is a shame as it might be an interesting place to look around. Still a worthwhile hike.

We decided to visit here on the way to kotor town and the viewpoint. Not many people seem to visit this place bit it's definately worth it and very creepy. Not for young children as it is a bit of a ruin and not safe. The views over kotor town and the sea are amazing!

Intermediate hike along the Vrmac Ridge with a stop at the old Fort. Enjoy the views to the Bay of Kotor and Bay of Tivat on each side. Rocky steep climb down but stop for a beer or a swim when you get back down. Easy to get a bus or taxi back to your hotel.
