Interesting find.

There is a bar beside this well. We decided to sit outside and asked the barmaid about the well. She told us the history and shown how it would have worked.

Karampana fountain is located in Old Town of Kotor, within the walls. It is close to the Maritime Museum and the small square in the area has the same name. I found it just by chance. we stumbled upon it by strolling around the old town and found it to be rather impressive. The Karampana fountain in the past was the only source of fresh water in the town. The Karampana well is tucked away in the tiny Karampana Sq which is just to the left of the Maritime Museum in Kotor.
