    Nice
Piazza of the Arms welcomes you as soon as you get into the Old City of Kotor through the Sea Gate. It’s kind of impressive if you looks through the history glasses. Anyway, is very crowded, anyone stops there for the first photos in Kotor. Especially the tourists from cruise ships docking in the Kotor Port. There are couple of restaurants there and more souvenirs shops. It’s nice.

    Welcome to Kotor
As you enter Kotor, this Piazza is generally your first view inside the walls of the Old Town. An attractive clock tower stands before you making a good photo Op. Square can get crowded as people entering try to get their bearings

    Heart of Old Kotor
This is the main square of the walled city, and most people will enter it first, as it's right on the other side of the Sea Gate. There are a number of restaurants and vendors on the square during busy hours, and it's surrounded by old buildings. There is also an ATM machine in the square near the clock tower. The square is usually pretty crowded, since everyone stops for a look around as they enter the city. We also visited it in the evening, when the crowds are much smaller, and it's a nice opportunity to get a better view of the expanse and how large it really is.

The centre of the Old Town
Three gates lead to the Old Town of Kotor, the western gate is the main entrance from the sea. Behind the gate we found the Square of Arms, which is a popular part of the town with many cafés, shops and bars. We walked there and saw the famous Clock Tower (17th century) and the Venetian Governor's Palace. It’s a must-see site in Kotor.

Piazza is located at the entrance of the sea gate, square has many restaurant/cafe to enjoy, however I did enjoy the restaurant more outside the gate.

Clock tower is a great feature of Piazza and the starting point for exploring all the narrow laneways around the old city.

This is the main square of the old town you approach immediately after entering thru the sea gate. It is packed with shops, restaurants, cafes, but includes a number of historically important structures including the fortified walls, tower clock and an old palace now a hotel. It is usually mobbed with tourists so take a quick look and move on to discover the rest of this incredible city.

Beautiful square inside of the walled city that sets the scene. A nice place to find a restaurant, sit and people watch or where you can start a little self-guided walking tour.

During Venetian occupation, this square was the location for armaments manufactured and stored in Kotor. Today, it is the location for cafes, tourist shops, historical buildings, and, of course, the requisite clock tower.

Kotor is small enough to get (safely) lost and meander along through the narrow cobblestone lanes in this pedestrian-only area. It's easy to find one's way around, eventually.
