Best way to start your visit of Kotor. We were in port for a day and we took this Bus around first. It was a great way to see and learn about Kotor and to see which areas you might want to spend a little more time in. They provide you ear buds and during the ride you get to hear some neat historical facts.

We arrived at the town dock by tender from our cruise ship on a misty, overcast morning and we had all day to see the sights. Researching before our cruise started, I knew there was a Hop-on/off tour available. We purchased tickets for the bus tour in a building near the dock and got in line. The staff for this company were all very friendly and helpful. Several buses were available for the tours and narrations via ear buds was available in several languages. The sun came out as we traveled the road north along the lake thru the town of Perast to the town of Risan where we got off the bus to see the preserved Roman ruins. Along this road we saw oyster and mussel farms as well as fish farms. The scenery was very picturesque. On the return trip south, the bus stopped in Perast. We were able to the famous Lady of the Rocks chapel in Perast. The tour lasted about two hours and was very informative. We learned a lot and very much enjoyed this tour.

It was sad that we did not experienced all the beauty of the place because the tour crew messed up our time in Kotor. To start, the information of the tour never explained that you have set times for the tour, it said they have a bus available when arrived. Also me er mentioned that the tour included a walking tour of the city, which we had to do ourselves because the did not have any buses available, so they send us to the old city to explore alone. The staff highly rude and not prepared to managed such large crowd. Such a great place they need to make their tours better.
