Nice place to spend a warm sunny day and get some tan. The best known city beach. However, I dislike cancelling benefits for some groups of citizens - they used to allow free entrance to voluntary blood donors, but then they cancelled it for no...More

Lovely and unexpected to find this beach area in Novi Sad with lifeguard. As the Danube was very low during our visit we saw many miles of beaches along its length.

During a hot August day we got to the Strand and had a lovely swim in the Danube. It wasn't too full of people and there was very little litter. A lifeguard present was reassuring too. Looking forward to going again.

We spent our last day journey to serbia there. We played volleyball with Serbian people in beach and swam in the Danube river.

Whether you go for relaxing walks, cycling or running, it is an indispensable part of the city. In the evening you can watch a concert or just enjoy the view of the castle. Attention to mosquitoes in the summer.

Make sure you plan a visit to this all natural sandy beach, probably the biggest on the Danube... Suggestion, go there in the morning before the crowd hits the beach, enjoy coffee or ice cream on the bench overlooking the river..
