I was lucky enough to attend an Easter concert in such an iconic place, Novi Sad. The building looks impressive, both outside and inside. Has beautiful architecture, inside high ceilings, stained glass windows and an organ on the top floor. The temple is small, there are few seats, but it still holds enough visitors. Considering that part of the building is under renovation. The concert went well, the building has good acoustics, which allows you to fully enjoy the music.

We were lucky to visit this beautiful Church thanks to our river cruise stopover at Novi Sad. It was originally built in 1719. After going through reconstruction many times it was finally built in 1893. It is located right in the middle of town at Liberty Square. Its roof is so tall that it can be seen from distance. It's a Roman Catholic parish church and biggest in Novi Sad. Its neo-gothic arches are worth seeing. The stained glasses depicting saints are very beautiful. The ambience inside is very calm and peaceful.

In the Svetozar Miletic square of Novi Sad just the opposite side of the square you will find this church. Designed by the architect Molnar Gyorgy and it was built in 1894.
I does stant 72m tall - that's the height of the bell tower - that has a cross on top (supposed to be from gold, still is a debate if its fully cast in gold or only plated with gold) .
The church is free to visit - it is a catholic church - and often referred to as "the Cathedral" - , nonetheless like in every church donations are welcome.
When visiting remember:
- dress appropriate - you are entering a place of worship.
- behave - mind your activities while you are in the church
- keep the silence - lower your voice when speaking in order to not disturb those praying
Regardless if you are religious or not, for sure it will be interesting to see the church - the stained glass windows made with glass from Budapest , Zsolnay ceramic tiles used for roofing and decorations and the neo-gothic style of the church for sure will give something to see for those who are into architecture.
Overall it is an interesting place to visit -I do recommend you include it in your Novi Sad tour.

This is a stunning church, located in the center of Novi Sad.
Other than the magnificent architecture of the church, you simply have to love the colored windows.

Located in Liberty Square (Trg Slobode), the Name of Mary Church is Roman Catholic parish church. It is the largest in Novi Sad. Built in gothic style, it has a towering presence in the centre of Novi Sad. Inside you will find three naves, neo-gothic arches, many stained-glass windows and four altars. The main altar in the apse is made of carved wood. Definitely worth a visit if you have time.

The main Catholic church in the city. Built in Neo-Gothic style. I couldn't go inside, but the tower is visible from almost the entire city.

It is well set up, so that people can go into the back of the church without disturbing anything. We really appreciated the view - it is lovely and peaceful inside.
