Not just another ... walk in the park
Oct 2019
First of all is a patch of green in the urban concrete jungle - is always nice to have this parks so you can just enjoy a walk in the shade during the summer.
However in the Danube park in Novi Sad you can also find some interesting things to check out:
- the "Gazebo" a small covered open air stage where during the warm season you can attend concerts or other cultural events.
- "Nimfa" - a statue in a fountain at one of the sides of the park.
- statue of Dura Jaksic - one of the important Serbian poets and painters.
And there is more to it but I will just let you discover it by yourself ...
Also on the alleys you can walk, do jogging and even have a picnic on the grass of the part.
Overall is a nice area - so if you want a short getaway from the buzz of the city center you can check out this place.

A nice park in the center of the city
Nov 2019 • Solo
Danube Park is located in the center of the city, not so far from Bishop's Palace, in Novi Sad, the second main city in Serbia. It is a nice park to walk, relax, run, play with children or do sport. It is a relaxing place in the center, to come to walk after work.

Wonderful park in the winter
Dec 2019 • Family
The park looks great in the winter! It is wonderfully decorated, like a frozen forest or something, full of christmas lights and decorations, with many places to grab something to eat or drink while you are walking. There is a lovely ice rink as well! Great for kids!

So central yet so refreshing
Nov 2019 • Solo
A breath away from the center of Novisad this beautiful park serves as an easy getaway from the busy city life. Could be consider as the transition area between the city and the Danube River on your way to the Petrovaradin Forest. Gazebos, botanical info signs, recreation areas and colors that change from green to red along with the seasons. Even if you only have 30 mins for a break or in between obligations, do visit and get refreshed.

Park
Oct 2019 • Couples
That’s it for me. It’s a park with lots of people, kids and pets. There was music, I guess some entertainment/event was happening . It’s excellent to chill and cool off from the warm weather because of the trees and water all around. :)

The most beautiful and popular public park in Novi Sad.
Oct 2019
If you descend from the Petrovaradin Fortress and cross the bridge over the Danube, you will find Dunavski Park. The park has over 250 species of plants, is located right in the center of the city and covers over 33,000 square meters. In the park you will discover a pond with an island in it and some interesting statues - the nymph statue of Đorđe Jovanović, the statue of Jakura Jakšić, a statue of Sergije Radonješki, a bust of Branko Radičević and a bust of Miroslav Antić. I noticed that many residents of Novi Sad spend their free hours in this park. I just crossed it, because I was in a hurry to see the buildings on Miletic Square.

This open area is very nice for strolling, and go down to the Danube to look up at the fortress across the river.

Nice Park to Walk Through
Aug 2019
We walk through this park to get from 1 church to the other, it is quite large. There are ponds and I guess there used to be swans but someone made off with them, so the story goes. It is a nice to break from the hustle and bustle of the city to walk through the park, but it is not really maintained with a lot of flowers and such.

Place to rest in the very center of all happenings
Apr 2019 • Friends
Beautiful park, with a lot of green grass areas, trees and a small lake. Favorite place of both locals and tourists, hop in there for a nice little break, while you some fruit or an ice cream.
