First of all is a patch of green in the urban concrete jungle - is always nice to have this parks so you can just enjoy a walk in the shade during the summer.
However in the Danube park in Novi Sad you can also find some interesting things to check out:
- the "Gazebo" a small covered open air stage where during the warm season you can attend concerts or other cultural events.
- "Nimfa" - a statue in a fountain at one of the sides of the park.
- statue of Dura Jaksic - one of the important Serbian poets and painters.
And there is more to it but I will just let you discover it by yourself ...
Also on the alleys you can walk, do jogging and even have a picnic on the grass of the part.
Overall is a nice area - so if you want a short getaway from the buzz of the city center you can check out this place.

If you descend from the Petrovaradin Fortress and cross the bridge over the Danube, you will find Dunavski Park. The park has over 250 species of plants, is located right in the center of the city and covers over 33,000 square meters. In the park you will discover a pond with an island in it and some interesting statues - the nymph statue of Đorđe Jovanović, the statue of Jakura Jakšić, a statue of Sergije Radonješki, a bust of Branko Radičević and a bust of Miroslav Antić. I noticed that many residents of Novi Sad spend their free hours in this park. I just crossed it, because I was in a hurry to see the buildings on Miletic Square.

Danube Park is the lovely place in the city center of Novi Sad. There is small swan lake which gives charm to the park. It could be overcrowded which is not my cup of tea.

Very small city park located in the city center.
I wish it is much cleaner. There is some sort of a lake in the center of the park, sometimes it is clean sometimes it is very dirty.
Usually, it is overcrowded with children. I've seen much better ones around the world but I think it is worth going there if nothing else than to have few beer cans with friends before going to a party!

Danube Park is located in the center of the city, not so far from Bishop's Palace, in Novi Sad, the second main city in Serbia. It is a nice park to walk, relax, run, play with children or do sport. It is a relaxing place in the center, to come to walk after work.

You come right down to Dunavski park walking down Dunavska street from the city center! At this park you can enjoy walking around the swan pond or just relaxing at one of its many benches where usually couples come in the evening. Very nice park with a lot of greenery, flowers and some statues. It faces Dunavska street on one side and great building of Vojvodina Executive Council (one of the most beautiful architectural wonders in Novi Sad!). This park is after the city beach Strand and the Petrovaradin fort, one of the most favorite places for citizens of Novi Sad to relax.

This is a lovely little park with a nice pond, statues and a fountain, located just near the town center of Novi Sad.
It's good for a 15-minutes stroll.

Dunavski park is located in the city centre, near Dunavska street and tourist attractions.
You can spend good time there with children/friends when the weather is nice.

Known in summer for it's swans, in winter the park is transformed in an "Ice Forrest" .... special cooling tracks are laid down and make a walking tour for ice skaters through the park ... nice skating surroundings ... and an opportunity for hot wine lovers
