Beli Majdan is an old limestone quarry cut into the side of the hill active from at least the 12th century. You can visit the whole site in about an hour which includes taking a loop walk on top of the quarry. Getting there involved parking in the town of Rakovac next to the monastery and walking on foot up a dirt track for a few hundred metres.
