This is must go place for me. I love all their performances but Karmen is the most favourite show I watch over and over.
I'm crazy about their dancers especially Eugene Svetlitsya, Sergiy Kachura and Anastasia Isypova. They are the best.
Everybody must see their ballets!!!!

Even if you have never been to ballet and opera you must visit while in Lviv. We saw 5 performances while we were there. You can see world class opera and ballet for a fraction of the price you would pay in most countries. Highlights were the Saturday and Sunday matinees which were good enough to satisfy a real opera or ballet buff but still enthused the many children attending and Swan Lake which was so beautiful it brought me to tears. There is a performance most nights as well as the weekend matinees. It is probably best to book online before travelling. I understand that there are performances throughout the year apart from August.

A beautiful opera house! I visit operas not very often, but I just needed to visit this one, after eating and drinking the whole day in this beautiful city(Lviv) we decided to get a little bit drunk on culture and cognac :D. But seriously we had a good experience, I do recommend for everyone who likes opera!

Visiting Lviv, I could not pass on a chance to go and see the famous Opera. What a beautiful building we went to see Rigoletto. You can easily reserve a ticket online or go directly and buy a ticket. It costs about 10 euro. I really enjoyed it!

A beautiful historical building. The exterior and the interior of the opera are both stunning. You think you're in Vienna, Dresden or Paris, but this is the opera in a small town in Ukraine. If you can see a performance while you are visiting, take the chance. I saw the ballet 'Coppelia' which I much enjoyed.

I was in Lviv and spotted this magnificent structure on the main street and was intrigued. It stroke me as being designed in the finest European style - just like Vienna. I was fortunate to acquire a ticket for the opera the very same night - Madame Butterfly was a very modest price of around $30. It was a splendid production - great costumes, and world class performers. Only drawback was that the libretto was translated on screen in Ukrainian so unless you understand either Italian or that language it is easy to lose the plot. The audience was elegant - befitting the elegance of the interior.

I didn't go inside the Theatre. But in front of it, there is a lovely area with fountains, and it is a very popular public place. I stayed there for half hour and I saw several just married couples were taken pictures. Then I went around this Theatre, and I saw that a whole building is beautiful.

We booked to go and see an opera and although it wasn’t easy to understand in Ukraine language the theatre itself was amazing. We stayed for the 1st act and then left afterwards but so be able to sit in side and see how it all worked was amazing. Such a well preserved and beautiful building
