Great building

It was built and served as a casino until 1939. After this time, changing destiny and today is home for local scientists ..... strange.

This place doesn't seem to be that popular with the tourist but it's a real hidden gem of architecture. The entry fee is inly 15 UAH so it's definately worth a visit. The caretaker of the place was happy to answer all the questions and knew a lot of interesting facts about the place.

The House of Science has little to do with science per se but the foyer in this old house is nothing short of magnificent. I think it cost about 50 cents a piece to get in but the woodwork on the walls, staircase and ceilings is worth the experience and time to walk there. Several weddingcouples were being photographed as... More

I think the most amazing sights of the old city, which I discovered only recently! The majestic building of the People's Casino, now known as the House of Scientists. Another project of the talented and famous duo of the Viennese architects Fellner and Helmer. Even from the street attention to the house attract two powerful telamons that hold a balcony... More

the place is veaufitul, inside the main house you can see wooden stairs and ampty rooms, they use the main house for weddings etc. there is a little garden inside as well, that is very pretty in spring/summer time. the location is quite central, so if you near, definitely go in.

It is less then 10 min walk from opera house. Not so popular yet, so its not filled with tourists. 15 uah for 15 min look around, 400 uah for photoshoot. I liked it a lot.

The house is very nice beautiful and definitely worth seeing and is overall very cheap. However getting a ticket is very convoluted process. You'll get a bank account number to pay for a ticket in any bank (which takes a service charge for the process) and using the bank receipt gets you entry. Also reading up on the history of... More
