Really beautiful place to see. A hidden gem, you wouldn't notice it when walking outside - it's just one of many buildings, but the inside really makes your jaw drop. Great place for a quick insta photo shoot :) I recommend also visiting the balcony on the first floor a nice place to sit for a moment or shoot a few additional photos.

Beautiful building with empty halls. You can walk around this 2 floor building all alone only for 30 UAH (cast only). They rent it out for moviemaking, weddings and events, but on a usual basis you can come and enjoy!

The building is an excellent example of neo-baroque style. The building went through a number of uses until it landed on it's current status (House of Scientists). It was a brother and a casino before that. You can see traces of its older uses in various spots in the building.
I really loved the way the builders use skylights to illuminate the building lacking electricity when it was first build. Also they use double windows for insulation which I found interesting.
Lots of beautiful fire places if you are into them. Also there is a library which unfortunately was closed when I visited. Highly recommend it.

The House of Scientists boasts the most amazing staircase you'll likely ever see. No wonder it is used for wedding photos. The architectural style is beautiful and it is charming to walk through the covered entrance to the side door (which opens into the view of the magnificent staircase) and well worth the tour!

Situated near the University (which is NOT where is was represented on my tourist map, nor where the Lviv Tourist Centre said it was), this is an interesting piece of history and architecture. Worth visiting if architecture and intellectual history interests you. (Speaking of L'viv and intellectual history, I'd also recommend reading Philippe Sands' East-West Street.)

This IS the place where you must have your camera with you. The design (some parts need restoration though) is great.

This place doesn't seem to be that popular with the tourist but it's a real hidden gem of architecture. The entry fee is inly 15 UAH so it's definately worth a visit. The caretaker of the place was happy to answer all the questions and knew a lot of interesting facts about the place.

I had been in Lviv tree times, and I discover this place lately and it is just amazing. Old noble-casino with astonishing interiors, definitely worth a visit.
To get access to it you need to enter by right gate (looking from the front), And go strait to the courtyard, you will see smaller building their is located ticket office on the first floor room number 9. Quite tricky but you will be just fine. Enjoy!

This is a must visit place in Lviv. The staircase is stunning. Overall architecture of the building is also very beautiful. Entrance fee is only 30uah and it will take only 30-35 minutes to complete the whole area. Highly recommended.
