On arrival we went straight for the town hall as we knew it is the monument and one place which is the centre of the town and one of the main attractions.
When we got to the entrance we seen everyone leaving and so did we as the price to enter the town hall was rather expensive 30kn - yes it is not alot if you are staying in Sibenik for a few days but if you sre there for a day it is expensive.

However you could tell it looked lovely inside, but we got some great images of the place from the outside.

Definitely a recommendation for this place.

The Town hall in Šibenik is situated on one side of the medieval central town square (the Square of the Republic of Croatia), with the Cathedral of St James on the opposite side.
This Renaissance building was originally built between 1533 and 1546 but sadly completely destroyed in December 1943 by the allied air forces. It was restored in its original form after the war and although therefore the current building is just a model of the original, the ground-floor cloister (with columns supporting semi-circular arches) are still very impressive and the building frames the square in an elegant way.
I cannot comment on the interior as we chose to visit inside the cathedral over this one.

The Town hall is placed across the St. James Cathedral in the old Town. The architecture is interesting and the Roman style can be easily recognized.Sibenik is small enough to see everything relevant in half a day walk, but big enough for you to see plenty interesting things! Loved it, especially this square in front of the Town Hall and cthe cathedral.

The building and surrounds are beautiful and the central location makes it a good spot to visit. It can get very hot in the open sun and there is limited shade.

As I wrote in the other review about the Cathedral, this square is one the nicest I nave seen on the Mediterranean coast. The Town Hall is a very old building but very well preserved. Sibenik is an awesome place, cant see Croatia without seeing it.

A surprising Venetian palace, just next to the cathedral.

Sibenik is really nice and compact, half a day to visit is sufficient and would even allow for a quick lunch break at one of the waterfront bars. The walk along the harbour is nice an offers pretty views.

Sibenik - one of the famous ports at Adriatic sea. Old town is realistic place where you could walk around and touch the spirit of the Renaissance.

Sibenik is a great town, with plenty to do. Allow half a day for sightseeing, and maybe a meal on the harbour front. The square is quite enchanting, very picturesque. Lots of little lanes in and out of the square, and its a lovely walk along the harbour to the castle(quite a climb). A very pretty, historic Croatian town.

I've heard many times that square between Cathedral and Town Hall is one of the most beautifull squares in Mediteraneum. I don't know if it's the true, but the fact is - it's beautifull. Chidren playing (no cars), tourists taking photos (never too much crowd), people from sailing boats eating dinner in slow food excellent restaurants (Pellegini nad City Hall restaurant). Sometimes live shows and concerts. Great! Town hall by itself is "what you see from outside" - nothin much interesting inside.
