The church of St. Barbara is a monument of gothic architecture. It is a single-naved church. The building of the church started at about 1400. Above the main entrance there is a gothic niche with a sculpture of St. Nicholas, the work of the Italian artist Bonino from Milan. Today there is a little museum in the church of St. Barbara, housing some very important art works from the period between the 14th and the 17th century.

A little thisng that you can easily miss!

But dont miss it. It is an old building erected in 1700's in very good conditions. Get in, spend a few minutes while at it, it will be rewarding.!

Of course the major attraction in Sibenik is the cathedral. While there we looked at some other places, one of which was this church. It was small, and had an admission fee out of proportion to what was inside. Perhaps if you had specific knowledge of the religious aspects it would be worthwhile, but otherwise I'd give it a pass.
