My son (12yrs) and I had a weeks holiday in Sibenik.
We stayed at the Adamaria Park Jure Hotel and booked excursions direct with this tour company via email.
Our trips were arranged by Ena in the office and all via email. She was extremely patient and made it possible for my son and I to enjoy all these wonderful experiences.
Booking direct with this company ensured that we had the very best experiences and care. We were collected and returned to our hotel in comfort.
We did the following activities:
Kayaking - group including us was 6
Rock Climbing - Just us two and two fully trained instructors
Ziplike - slightly larger group of about 10
Krka National Park - group of 4 including us
Our guide for the Kayak and Krka National park was Marin.
He is incredibly knowledgeable and was excellent at looking after us. It is clear that he is very passionate about his beautiful Croatia and he should be. He ensured we seen beautiful sites that on a larger group tour we would not have experienced.
Our Guides for Rock Climbing and Zipline were Ante & Grgo.. I was petrified of heights - but they both were patient and encouraged me that I could do it.
And I did it!
The walk to the rock climb is a bit of a trek and you need PLENTY of water - be aware that there are no toilets ...
The zipline, again I was really petrified, but once again Grgo and Ante were professional, experienced and encouraging.
Again, we had 1:1 qualified and supportive guides.
IF I CAN ROCK CLIMB AND ZIPLINE - ANYONE CAN.
I really can not fault any of our activities and I would encourage you to take these opportunities of wonderful experiences.
My tips:
BOOK DIRECT with Zipline Sibenik - Do not leave it until you arrive at your hotel as the hotel did not offer these unique excursions with small groups.
TAKE PLENTY OF WATER - even if there are no toilets, there are bushes if you get desperate(?)
TAKE A SANDWICH/SNACK/FRUIT - we got peckish and were grateful we took snacks/sandwich.
ROCK CLIMBING PROPER SHOES ARE A MUST - We bought ours from Decathlon for approx £40. But, you really appreciate why you need them. Trainers for the walk/trek to the rick climbing site.
BEACH SHOES - are a must in Croatia as it is a very rocky island and the beaches are pebbles. Also a must at Krka national park. Sandals are ok for walking around the park but you will be grateful for the beach shoes as you enter the waters.
To return from a holiday and say that there is not one thing you could fault is quite something.
