Don't go here
Aug 2020 • Friends
The entrance fee does not include any service, they charge you even for the toilet separately. And they have a short sandy section, but you can't walk in the beach not even there, it's full of sharp stones. Food options are also few and lame. Go to the queen's beach in Nin instead or just jump in the water from the old city corso in Zadar.

Good beach
Aug 2020 • Family
It's as good beach with both sand and stone parts. Be prepared that there's an entrance fee of 10--15 kuna depending on month. Also there are paid sunbeds ( I paid for two sunbeds and umbrella 75 kunas. Among the beaches that I could reach by feet in Zadar Borik beach seems to be the best one.

Not for us
Jul 2019
Not our sort of beach at all. Yes the water was clear and beautiful, but it was far too busy for us. Too many people with too many things making too many noises.

There are better places to go than Zadar
Sep 2019
We spent two weeks in Croatia (Pula, Split, Zadar and Plitvice National Park). We did not have any issues in any of these places and had a fantastic time...except for Zadar. We will never return. We hired two bicycles from A&R Rentals- a car and bicycle rental and money exchange just across from the old town. After handing over the money, we were taken out the back to a dirty garage and given two cheap bikes. We rode for no more than 10 minutes when there were issues with one bike. We returned to A&R immediately. The girl working there accused us of 'breaking the bike', then a waiter from the next door restaurant came out and started to scream at us. The girl told us that she would 'break' us and called me a b#tch. We were quite afraid at this stage, so left without a refund and without new bikes. Then, at a supermarket a few doors up, we were not given the correct change and were overcharged for a few items. Apart from this, the old town is lovely, but very small and you really do not need more than an hour there. I would definitely rethink any holiday to Zadar.

Beautiful
Sep 2019
Lots going on for young people and families,. It is clean and water clear, there is a sandy area, but mainly the usual Peebles and concrete. There seems to have been lots of improvements since 2018 and the beach is now blue flag.
Lots of deckchairs with canopies

Security guards
Aug 2019 • Family
Still quiet shaken by the verbal and physical abuse we received by the security of the Falkensteiner hotel who are collecting money for the beach entrance. It was disgraceful.

Bizarre Beach Bouncer

Visited this beach the first day we got to Zadar and was greeted by what I can only describe as a Dwayne Johnson wannabe with a security t shirt on (legit) demanding it was a “privit bich” and we had to pay to walk the 5 steps across his “privit bich”! There are so many more beautiful beaches and spots around the area I wouldn’t waste precious time in visiting it !

Avoid This Rip Off
Aug 2019
Walking round the coast led us to this artificial, concrete slab of a so called beach. We were stopped at the entrance by an "alleged" security guard who demanded payment to enter. Attempted to explain that we were only walking through the area and needed to access a road on the far side of this development, but to no avail. After losing the will to live we left and detoured around, which was a blessing, as the natural beaches were far superior to the concrete slabs we had seen. Found out after the event that the law has changed in Croatia and people should have free access to all beaches and charging is now not allowed, unless using facilities provided by vendors. We found much nicer beaches in the general area, without aggressive guards demanding money.
Give this one a miss !
