- BellaSalzburg, Austria37 contributionsVery nice and can not understand the negative reviewsWe are currently (May 2024) in the Donut Hotel right on Borik Beach. According to the other reviews, you would have had to pay an entrance fee to get to the beach, but we cannot confirm that. Regardless of whether we walked down to the beach from the hotel's own garden or from outside, we never had to pay anything and did not see anyone demanding money. The beach itself is really beautiful. The only thing that bothers us is the jetty, as it is very broken (so broken that it is really dangerous to walk on it) and there are hardly any other places to lie down directly on the beach. But otherwise it is really great and there is no rubbish lying around.Visited May 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten May 13, 2024
- Martassss2015Santander, Spain22 contributionsBeautiful beachVery nice and quiet equipped beach. Immediately after the hotels.little frequented. It is accessed on foot after parking the car. Fair prices. Umbrella + 2 deckchairs 23€. More expensive the bar nearbyVisited June 2024Traveled with friendsWritten July 5, 2024
- María B1 contributionBest beach with lots of shade. There is a sandy area that I do not recommend as it is dirtier, but if you walk a little further ahead there is an area with many trees. The tree area is the best, as it is quite hot and the shade is appreciated. There is plenty of space and very clean water. We repeat this beach, as the other beaches in Zadar are very small, there are many people and there is hardly any shade.Visited August 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten August 19, 2024

It's as good beach with both sand and stone parts. Be prepared that there's an entrance fee of 10--15 kuna depending on month. Also there are paid sunbeds ( I paid for two sunbeds and umbrella 75 kunas. Among the beaches that I could reach by feet in Zadar Borik beach seems to be the best one.

Hi traveller!
It was one of the beaches i have been with my family. It has little sandy part, the water colour was not great. There is option to rent umbrella and chair. It is 75 Kuna to rent 2 chairs and 1 umbrella. I would say it is 3/ 5 as rating.

We visited this beach for an afternoonin August. Having read the reviews, we drove here from town. As you hit the coast from the public road, there appeared to be no shade at all on the right. We therefore headed left to the wooded areas (with lots of bars, inflatable obstacle courses, pedalos, small sandy beach etc. Before we got that far, we were informed that we had to pay entrance to get onto this part of the beach. Whilst this was only 15 kns per person, I felt a bit ripped off. This was particularly the case as our landlord later informed us that apparentlyit is illegal to charge this but that the local authority was turning a blind eye and they only charged tourists (who are presumably not aware of this).
Having said that, we were out to spend an afternoon on the beach and decided to go with it so shouldn’t really complain.
The sandy beach area felt a bit dirty. As others have already mentioned it’s artificial and makes the water look quite muddy. We opted to swim in the pebbly area and that was fine.
Facilities are good with plenty of bars, snack places, ice cream stands etc. You could also hire pedaloes (80 kns per hour) and go on the blow up obstacle course (40 kns forhalf an hour).
In summary it was good but overcrowded and there are public beaches that have clearer water. It’s main benefit for us were the many shady areas which are necessary in high season in the blazing sun.
As we left, we found that the sunny public beach area was heaving with locals who were arriving for an after work chill out. So if you are planning to arrive later in the day, parking could be an issue.

In general, it’s not a bad restaurant, but I would like to draw the attention of the management and owners, that there is no client orienteering strategy at the moment.
I left a decent amount during my vocation, but I won’t you recommend this place and it’s because of relation to the client: the DJ ruined everything, I asked to change the music, but he said that he can’t do it. Then I asked waiter who is in charge for that, she told took me to the person who is responsible for that (I don’t know how was he a manager or the Owner) and he even talk to me just refused through the waiter
So it’s up to you, but as for me it was my the last visit to the place…

The entrance fee does not include any service, they charge you even for the toilet separately. And they have a short sandy section, but you can't walk in the beach not even there, it's full of sharp stones. Food options are also few and lame. Go to the queen's beach in Nin instead or just jump in the water from the old city corso in Zadar.

Beach is fake sand, three massive all inclusive next to it. The first 50 meters smells, would recommend going round a bit further where the big trees are. Water is nice but you need water shoes as the shore and surface is very rocky.

20 € Parking fees to not even park near the beach.
Tourist rip-off, from the city of Zadar.
Even with 100% severely disabled ID, you only let through if you pay 20€.
WUCHER.....
Been here 20 years, gladly paid 8 € in high season. But €20....😡😡😡😡😡
That was for me after 20 years of vacation in Zadar.

At first it looks nice - not so many people , sand , Sun.
But our kids got sick and vomiting . Fast search of Google reviews and news in Croatian revealed that this beach is CONTAMINATED WITH BACTERIA. Some dead fish in the bottom should made me thinking first . That is pity because it is really pretty place .

Visited this beach the first day we got to Zadar and was greeted by what I can only describe as a Dwayne Johnson wannabe with a security t shirt on (legit) demanding it was a “privit bich” and we had to pay to walk the 5 steps across his “privit bich”! There are so many more beautiful beaches and spots around the area I wouldn’t waste precious time in visiting it !

Walking round the coast led us to this artificial, concrete slab of a so called beach. We were stopped at the entrance by an "alleged" security guard who demanded payment to enter. Attempted to explain that we were only walking through the area and needed to access a road on the far side of this development, but to no avail. After losing the will to live we left and detoured around, which was a blessing, as the natural beaches were far superior to the concrete slabs we had seen. Found out after the event that the law has changed in Croatia and people should have free access to all beaches and charging is now not allowed, unless using facilities provided by vendors. We found much nicer beaches in the general area, without aggressive guards demanding money.
