A nice place to take family photos

Here you can play with different viewing angles and depths when taking family photos. Make each family member stand by one of the wells and click.

Our family visited Zadar in July 2016. We stumbled across this square on the way to find our car. It's not that it doesn't have some interesting history but there's not a whole lot to see and I wouldn't recommend going out of your way for this.

I did not know that this was a tourist attraction. Its not worth traveling to see. We found this place by accident. No need to make it a part of your travel plans. However, if you find it, take in the beauty and more on.

This square is yet another place in Zadar with ancient Roman ruins. They are preserved under glass beneath the square. Very cool.

This little square just within the old walls by the Land Gate contains the five wells that once supplied the water for the whole of the town. In addition there is the impressive medieval Captain's Tower and access up some steps to a pretty little park, which is an excellent place to relax and get away from the tourists for... More

This small square is just inside the old town passing through the Land Gate. Lined up in a row were the five wells. There was also the Captains Tower but other than that on a rainy day there was not a lot else to see.

We were wandering around the square and were lucky enough to hear a tour guide speaking about the wells. Don't forget to go up the stairs to the park!

We walked through here several times on our own during our stay in Zadar. We visited during the off season and got some cool pictures of the wells without people, but since we didn't have a guide and there are no signs or labels we didn't get to learn the history or any stories about the square. There are a... More
