The City Sentinel marks the center of a very interesting town that goes back to Roman times. There are even the remains of the Roman forum. One of the more interesting towns in Croatia. Definitely worth a guided visit.

I really like the atmosphere, although a restaurant is almost fill up the little square. But still, you can feel the history in the air, and you feel like, you are in somewhere in Italy.

A clock tower and recognized landmark in Zadar's lively main square. Croatia and Italy share a lot of the same visual culture, as evidenced by this Renaissance-style structure designed by a Venetian architect. The surrounding stone barrier was built after the clock tower itself and once held canons to protect the heart of the city.

Best visited in the evening when locals gather for a chat and a drink in one of the many bars around the Sentinel. The Sentinel is interesting for architecture lovers, but not a must-see. You'll probably pass by without noticing it if you're not looking for it in particular.

Our family visited Zadar in July 2016. We stumbled upon the City Sentinal on our way through Trg Narodni. I didn't find this structure or the square to be anything special. Take a picture and move along!

I was passing by this place. I didn't think it was a place for major tourism. However, it is cute. You won't mess out if you do not see it.

One of my favorite places in old town. A lot of beautiful buildings everywhere. Several restaurants and cafes to relax at and just watch the life going on around. Well worth a visit!

This Clock Tower is in the Central Square of Zadar with City Hall & the Tourist Info centre and is surrounded by small bars ,restaurants, hotels & museums. We took the opportunity to relax with a cold one before our next walk ! A good spot to people watch & enjoy.

This is the Sentinel on the Narodni Trg with the clock tower. Once part of the city hall it now houses the ethnographic museum

One of the most picturesque spots in the old town of Zadar. It is close to the centre of town with other attractions nearby
