tasty, warm atmosphere, totally recommended
Sep 2020 • Couples
Me and my husband called this morning for a wine tasting this afternoon - this was no problem... We were warmely welcomed. The Yard is pretty. The wine tasting was well prepared and the 5 wines (plus sparkling wine b/c of our menu choice) were pretty good. The Malvasija and Teran were the most tasty ones in our opinion. We directory bought a package of each and are very happy with it. The food was really tasty! We had the "taste of Istria" and "Golden Istria". Everything Was freshly cooked by the owner herself. We have to recommend especially the noodles with truffles and the cake with fresh peaches of their trees- both which were a dream. The Extra Plus today: the rapes were just harvested and the owner told us a lot about the procedures. She is really very much into her business.
In total: we were happy all around with Service, food and of course the wine! We will come back!

Great Meal
Aug 2020 • Couples
We were a bit surprised to find the area we were in; however, once we turned the corner, we found a beautiful experience. The tables and chairs created a very nice setting. The music played was also at a perfect level so it could be enjoyed but not overwhelming.

Then the food! The food was exceptional. And each serving came with a wine pairing that left me wondering if my tastebuds could handle the spetacular arrangement they were facing. We ordered the Istra Adventure, which was served over 3 hours! We thought it had been 30 minutes, before we knew it was 3 hours. The inviting atmosphere made it very easy to sit and relax.

The staff were very friendly and explained every wine thoroughly before serving. Recommend 100% to everyone looking for a tasty and relaxing meal.

5 Star Experience
Aug 2020 • Couples
What a lovely afternoon we had! We took a short Uber ride from the centre of Pula on a quiet Saturday afternoon. We saw the great reviews on Trip Advisor and decided we needed to try it for ourselves. It didn’t disappoint.

We had a wonderful time tasting a range of sparkling, white, rose, red and dessert wines! These were served with some delicious food platters, pasta and cake. The atmosphere was lovely and the music was very much to our taste.

Our host was so friendly and knowledgeable. It was definitely a highlight of our holiday. It is just a shame we couldn’t buy any of the wines due to our luggage restrictions!

Thank you for a lovely experience.

Speechless
Jul 2020 • Family
I was somewhat concerned about the rave reviews and pulling up outside a simple ‘burb location had me nervous...
...but oh my...an oasis inside the front gate, stellar ladies taking care of us - Ana was fantastic - and wines and foods that were gourmet-grade. You’d be hard-pressed to find this anywhere...& surprisingly affordable.
We enjoyed a simple wine tasting, tried the truffle bites, cold platter and cold fish platter with a beefsteak (cooked to PERFECTION).
An absolutely gem that bested anything we had in the prior 3 days.
Walking away with a case of exciting local wine and a memory that will patina beautifully.
Thank you!!!

Three lovely hours spent tasting fine wine paired with delicious snacks in a pretty and relaxed setting - what more could you ask for? Definitely try the truffle selection! Good value for money too. Highly recommended!

Great afternoon with very friendly hosts

Very nice venue near Pula. Family business and very friendly, excelent service.
We tried 5 different wines, all very good, but I would definitvely recommend cabarnet sauvignon, aged in barique. Very tasty, with a touch of cherry and vanilla.
The price was very reasonable and you can also buy a bottle of wine for home.
Beside the wine tasting (served with cheese), you can also get something to eat (like pasta with truffels).

Malvasia Three Ways!
Oct 2019 • Solo
Very nice, small cellar and tasting room close to Pula ($7USD for an Uber each way). You taste with one of the family members, which is always amazing, so it feels intimate and relaxing. Five wines and a small cheese and bread plate was 75kn ($12USD). Ana served a Malvasia Sparkling (my favorite), Malvasia in Stainless Steel, and a Malvasia in French Oak. All were delicious and it was interesting to see the the same grape fermented in the three different styles. She also served a Teran and a Rose of Cab. All the wines were excellent in aroma, flavor and acidity. Highly recommend!

A great evening with lovely knowledgeable hosts
Jun 2019
We initially thought we'd got the wrong address, as the taxi pulled up to a house in the suburbs but we were met with a warm welcome and shown around the cellars and winery before we took our seats under the trees in the garden, which was beautiful. We had preordered the Taste of Istria menu and slowly made our way through the many courses, each one introduced by the family themselves with explanations on the grape, taste and foods to match with it. I actually don't usually drink wine but each small glass matched perfectly with the menu and I found myself really enjoying the whole experience. There were 8 of us and at the end of the holiday we voted this the best authentic experience of our whole stay. I'd heartily recommend it, even to non wine drinkers as these ladies know exactly what they're talking about. The food was deicious, the atmosphere relaxing and the whole experience delightful.

Wine Tasting
Oct 2019
If you are expecting to visit a vineyard then this is not for you. However, the location is lovely and a short drive outside of Pula - around 10 mins in a cab from the food market - 70 kn.

We visited on our wedding anniversary and I had booked in advance. Katarina was lovely and so helpful and welcoming. We chose the Istrian platters with 5 tastings. I can honestly say that all of it was fantastic. My husband is not a wine drinker but he enjoyed all of them.

We had a great chat with Katarina as we were the only people there so she was very informative about life in Pula & Istria and the wine.

No pressure whatsoever to buy any further drink - however we did as we were having such a lovely afternoon. The Rose was my favourite and we purchased a bottle to enjoy back home to remind us of our perfect afternoon!
