Showcasing the best of Istrian food and wine
The winery fitted us in at the last minute for a tasting. The venue is easy to reach from the centre of Pula: a strenuous 50 minute walk or 5 minutes in an Uber. Ana talked us through the history of this small family-run independent vineyard with great knowledge and enthusiasm for the industry. She helped us pair the wines with delicious local cheeses and meats, as well as her family's home-made paprika jam. A wonderful afternoon - relaxed, great value and very enjoyable.

    Beautiful afternoon
Very private location, beautiful outdoor seating area in fabulous family run winery. Wines were beautifully paired with locally prepared finger food and the hosts were so knowledgeable about their wines! Easy to get to via Uber - would 100% recommend for couples

What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon
From the moment we arrived ( a short 10 Euro Uber) from Pula centre, we were treated like Royalty. Patrica was so knowledgeable about her Family’s business and her passion was infectious. The food pairing was a delight and the setting just so beautiful. We were even entertained by “Kalie” the owners friendly pooch. Linds and Max

    Wine Tasting done right!
Absolute must do if you’re in the area! A family ran business with a great experience. Staff extremely knowledgeable about all the wines served. All wines were to a high standard and the food pairings were great as well. The lady who served us gave us a great description of each wine and why it has been paired with the food item. For 39 Euros it’s an absolute bargain and would be happy to spend much more in the future.

A Delightful Afternoon at Vina Benazic
A Delightful Afternoon at Vina Benazic My visit to Vina Benazic in Pula was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with warm hospitality and genuine smiles. The ambiance was perfect for a relaxed afternoon, with a beautiful vineyard setting that provided a serene backdrop for our wine tasting. Each wine we sampled was thoughtfully paired with delicious finger foods that enhanced the flavors and made the experience even more enjoyable. The variety of wines showcased the region's best, and it was evident that a lot of care and passion went into their production. I particularly enjoyed the crisp white wines, which were perfectly balanced and refreshing. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable, taking the time to explain each wine's characteristics and the story behind it. Their passion for wine was infectious, and they were more than happy to answer any questions we had. Overall, our afternoon at Vina Benazic was a delightful blend of exquisite wines, delectable bites, and exceptional service. It's a must-visit for anyone in Pula looking to enjoy a leisurely afternoon in a beautiful setting. I highly recommend it and look forward to returning on my next trip

    A great wine experience
What a wonderful experience. Patrizia was a perfect host. Friendly and knowledgeable. I opted for the Taste of Istria, with 8 wines and local finger food paired with the wines. The wines themselves were very impressive, across the range, sparkling, white and red with the finale of the mistletoe grappa a great finish. This is a great way to experience the finest wines the area has to offer and it also represents unbelievable value for money! If you are a wine novice or someone with a good wine knowledge it’s a great way to spend a couple of hours.

A really warm welcome and a fabulous experience
A really warm welcome and a fabulous experience. We opted for the Taste of Istria wine tasting/food pairing. There were 6 of us and we all enjoyed the food and the wine, followed by a short tour of the cellar and a local cocktail. The host was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic. It's always nice to see a family-run business like this one thriving. Would highly recommend!

Very nice venue near Pula. Family business and very friendly, excelent service.
We tried 5 different wines, all very good, but I would definitvely recommend cabarnet sauvignon, aged in barique. Very tasty, with a touch of cherry and vanilla.
The price was very reasonable and you can also buy a bottle of wine for home.
Beside the wine tasting (served with cheese), you can also get something to eat (like pasta with truffels).

Visited four people for their wine tasting (250 kuna). Simply an amazing experience. Our host, Ana, is the daughter of the winery’s founder. She was very knowing and told some really interesting stories about the wines and some history behind both the winery and the grapes. She was really attentive and didn’t make the stories too long, so we could have a lot of time to enjoy the many taste expressions. If you are looking for an authentic and really professional and passionate wine tasting experience, you should look no further than Benazic Winery.

We were a bit surprised to find the area we were in; however, once we turned the corner, we found a beautiful experience. The tables and chairs created a very nice setting. The music played was also at a perfect level so it could be enjoyed but not overwhelming.

Then the food! The food was exceptional. And each serving came with a wine pairing that left me wondering if my tastebuds could handle the spetacular arrangement they were facing. We ordered the Istra Adventure, which was served over 3 hours! We thought it had been 30 minutes, before we knew it was 3 hours. The inviting atmosphere made it very easy to sit and relax.

The staff were very friendly and explained every wine thoroughly before serving. Recommend 100% to everyone looking for a tasty and relaxing meal.

We left Pula early to make it out for their 1500 wine tasting as specified on their Trip Advisor page. When we arrived we were asked to wait while the lady finished up with some guests. After about 15min she asked if we would like to buy some wine. We said we had come for the 1500 tasting. We were told this was not possible as we had to book ahead. There is nothing on the Trip Advisor listing saying you had to book ahead. When I mentioned this she said we should have looked at their website and that it was not their fault but Trip Advisors fault as they would not change the page detail, I find this had to believe. In the end she said if we waited for 20-30min she could put something together for us. We left feeling our afternoon and time had been wasted. All I can is is the whole experience and the place was a major disappointment after having recently visited wine estates in Cape Town. I would not bother to go out. The only positive feature was that the lady was pleasant and tried to help.

Hello, for wine tastings it is required to book ahead so we can provide the best service to all our guests. You arrived at our winery, sat down and didn't even say hi back when we greeted you. Even though you didn't book a wine tasting we gladly offered to make a tasting for you. We asked to wait 15 minutes so we could prepare the table for the wine tasting. You yelled back that we were wasting your time. That was not a pleasant experience for us. And above all you started yelling in front of our guests who booked their appointment which was extremely rude and inappropriate. We are 2 kilometers away from Pula so we doubt that your afternoon was wasted. Im sorry that your day was ruined but that was not our fault. Have a nice day!

A wonderful afternoon wine tasting with Anna at Benazic, you must pre book as they only do tastings on demand as a small family run business. Anna greeted us and have us an arrival drink of sparkling wine. After a short intro to the business we were sat and tried seven more wines paired with locally prepared food.

Anna was very knowledgeable, lovely and made us feel very welcome. She even let us try the Brandy.

Remember book in advance don’t just turn up!

What a wonderful place!!!! Really you need to go there if your nearby.
Offcourse you can buy nice wines there. But the tasting experience is amazing!! Best food I had in the whole area of Pula. Fresh made with a lot of love, a lot of things from own garden. The possibility to taste black and white truffle.
They got really friendly priced tasting menus 1,2,3 or 4 courses with 5 half glasses of different wine. Every wine is well explained and talked over with a lot of passion! We were lucky that had a spot for us but I would call them to be sure they have a spot to be not disappointed 😊
You will for sure not be disappointed about the experience!

What a lovely afternoon we had! We took a short Uber ride from the centre of Pula on a quiet Saturday afternoon. We saw the great reviews on Trip Advisor and decided we needed to try it for ourselves. It didn’t disappoint.

We had a wonderful time tasting a range of sparkling, white, rose, red and dessert wines! These were served with some delicious food platters, pasta and cake. The atmosphere was lovely and the music was very much to our taste.

Our host was so friendly and knowledgeable. It was definitely a highlight of our holiday. It is just a shame we couldn’t buy any of the wines due to our luggage restrictions!

Thank you for a lovely experience.

This was an amazing afternoon and the highlight of our stay in Pula. We tried 8 wines and were provided a light platter each with food that paired exceptionally well with each wine.
Our host, Katarina, was exceptional - she explained each wine and why it went well with particular foods and also took on all our questions.
The venue is very pretty - we were sat outside with a table set up for each group (so it's nice and intimate) and flowers near the fence. They had a good selection of music playing in the background too.
We also went downstairs to see the basement where they keep the wines and also saw where they make the wine on ground level.
This is a must for couples, and also groups of friends.
We ended up buying a bottle of wine and a bottle of brandy at the end because they were so nice!
Only wish that we went during season (i.e. summer) so that we could have a meal there afterwards.

We went into this with little knowledge about wine, but it seemed as a very fun date-night, and it was! We reserved the wine tasting, and ate food there afterwards, and it was one of our favorite experiences from Croatia during our two week stay. The place was quiet, urban, romantic, clean and professional. There was around 5 other tables, so it was very intimate. Our host told us all about the different wines we tasted, and we got a platter of different mini dishes to taste with, he told us what to eat with what, and we all ended up in the basement where he showed us how they did what they did. Afterwards we had one of the best meals, if not the best we had in Pula. Absolute MUST DO in Pula, if you dont have the time, make time! Great value for money!
