Small but imposing, this tiny temple on the main town square is a good example of a Roman temple as opposed to the Greek counterpart. But it has been well conserved and gives a nice touch to the piazza.

Pula is chock full of Roman historical sites and this one must surely be on your list, view from the outside and you appreciate its best features.

Like so many of the other roman remnants here the Temple of Augustus is in great shape. It's right in the center of town so it's easy to find.

Came across the Temple next to the Town Hall as we did our short tour of Pula - not time to go inside, but an impressive building.

We visited this whilst on a day tour of the region. The Temple is remarkably complete and is the stand-out structure at the edge of a very large, open square in the middle of Pula. Climbing the steps leading to it’s doors you could easily...More
