It is food place to start your walk around the Pula. There are plenty good restaurants near it and nice small plaza that become life in the afternoon.

Ancient Roman triumphal arch is situated in the center of the city, at the entrance to the old city narrow little streets packed with cafes, restaurants and souvenir shops. Beautiful old structure. Good meeting and starting point for exploring the city.

We saw this arch on a walking tour in Pula. Although this is also a road we were able to spend time looking all round it and at the soffit of the arch. It is all quite well preserved.

Usually arc was built in Roman times for the military victors but here one influental family built it for themselves apparently. This is in the center of the old Pula and next to it is James Joyce statue as he was living here. Follow the street and you will see nice square with another Roman temple and city council.

We visited Pula Town a couple of times whilst staying outside in Veredula. The Arch is very impressive and as you go through there's lots of little gift shops and restaurants and cafes.

This awesome city gate, a former gate into the ancient city, was built to celebrate the Roman victory over the Egyptians at the Battle of Atrium. A wonderful mostly complete piece of ancient architecture, it is definitely worth a visit and then stroll through the gate into the old town and wander down to the Roman arena (see my other... More

When you think that how long this arch has been standing it is amazing. But you look at it for 2mins and then it's time for something else

Roman Empire left traces in Pula. This is one of them. One can imagine roman legions passing through this arch celebrating the victory

worth taking a stroll through this ancient roman arch, quite a sight. A bit packed with tourists in August but if you manage to shoulder your way through you should have no worries :)

Pula is not a great city to visit but it has some very interesting landmarks, left by the Romans about 2 millennia ago! One of these is the "Arco dei Sergi", well kept in the centre of the city. Lots of people going by and lots of street artists through this ancient gate. Impressive how it is still standing tall... More
