Now this is awesome to walk behind this 2000 years old Triumph Arch erected after the Battle of Actium. Considering that in Rome you can't walk behind of the Arch of Constantine, that was a privilege, for me.

One of the 3 remaining Roman gates. Not very impressive compared to other gates and arches i've seen, but the beauty is in the details. Just sit on one of the terrases on the town side, enjoy a coffee and watch the gate.

This arch is in the centre of an area of shops and restaurants and is the beginning to a long road of more shops and restaurants. It is surrounded by a nice public seating area and fountain. It is free to walk through and see from all angles. Great for photos as it is huge and looks fantastic. Still lots... More

Located at the head of a pedestrian promenade is this prominent Roman structure that is in excellent condition. It is only a short walk from here to the arena and is located next to a lovely garden market.

We walked through this arch several times every day so we will always have fond memories of it. We often ate in a restaurant very close by. It also reminded us of when we stayed in Taormina, Sicily as the main street there had arches and people promenaded.

Good location and you cannot miss this if walking in Pula. Many of the ancient roman empire cities and towns have very similar architecture

The arch commemorates three brothers of the Sergii family, specifically Lucius Sergius Lepidus, a tribune serving in the twenty-ninth legion that participated in the Battle of Actium and disbanded in 27 BC . This suggests an approximate date of construction: 29-27 BC.

They have just left it standing here because nobody knows what to do with it. Not very well preserved, nothin out of the ordinary. But just walk by while parsing on in the Pula city walk.
