As the bus or taxi pulls up, you see this old arch. It is a unique link to the past and a good entry point to the old town in Pula. At nighttime there is inevitably a street performer who is normally way above average....More

With it in the heart of the town you can't miss it. A great piece of free to see roman architecture that you can get up close to see & touch. We walked under it every night on our way to the restaurants and bars....More

Well preserved, this arch reminds you the importance of those days, when the Roman empire was at its peak and every city was a colony. Pass through it and you gonna understand!

You really cannot miss this as the main gate into the town. Another part of the Romam fabric of Pula and much photographed. There are concerts by it in the summer evenings.

We discovered this beautiful landmark walking through the lovely city of Pula. The stonework is truly magnificent and beautifully preserved.

Built late first century BC, the 26’ tall arch is a testament to Roman engineering that it still stands today, as it still serves as majestic entrance into Pula’s Old Town. It is almost garish with its numerous carvings and inscriptions still amazingly-well preserved.

Nothing special but if you're in Pula this sight isn't very far from Amphitheatre. So we visited inquisitively
