We saw this building while on a walking tour of Pula, it is next to the temple of Augustus. It was described as a mixture of architectural styles with Roman on the ground floor (differences in the capitals) Austro-Hungarian on the first floor with some pre-war Italian in the middle.

Oh, its the side of this building when seen from the Temple of Augustus that looks a trifle bland not brash as I wrote on my piece about the Temple. I was able to peck my nose through the front door but even waving a Press card and saying that I was once a London City Councillor with a grand... More

Sure there is more than a touch... These places were under Venetian and built by them. If someone wouldn't know where it is, hypothetical, it could swear that is in Venice! All the Old City is at small scale like Venice.

Town Hall standing at the Forum, close to the Temple of Augustus. The Forum, the old Roman aquare, is full of cafés with terraces. Spend some time sipping a drink, admiring the Forum and its surrounding buildings.

This building is in the square near the Forum, surrounded by cafes and restaurants. It is an imposing building and whilst there we were lucky enough to see a wedding take place.

This building from the 13th Century is a beautiful example of Gothic architecture. Built from ruins of the two missing temples, it has beauty from all angles. This square is wonderful to experience both during the day when it isn't as crowded and at night when we experienced lots of people there. If you want to see the building close... More

In the area that once was the Roman Forum in Pula, the Town Hall is now located. Once there were three Roman temples located at the site (one still stands as The Temple of Augustus) while the other two are no longer standing save some small parts. The Town Hall was built on the site of the two destroyed temples... More

The town hall is in the old roman forum with the two century old of agustus next door. The back wall was part of the original temple to Diana. Much of the building was built with stones repurposed from roman buildings.
