This is a must see to act as a reminder of the waste of life that war is. It’s a sobering experience especially when you see how young people died at (20+) and didn’t get to live a full life

Beautiful place to contemplate and feel the spirit of old times, far away from busy and touristy hustle and bustle. A different and profound experience, whilst definitely not everyone's cup of tea, I find it to be the most inspiring place in Pula.

A peaceful place full of history - the naval cemetery is the resting place of naval admirals, seamen and people killed in wars and bombings. Although it's not a typical tourist attraction, it's worth strolling around, looking at the graves and reading the information board.

Not a lot else to say about it really, except that it's right opposite Hotel Milan, so if you're staying there you could wander over and stroll through.

Stumbled across this place while out walking. Beautifully kept, and very tranquil. As the name suggests, it's a cemetery for navy personnel. From many nationalities, and wars.

A reminder of its past, the cemetery is one of my favorite places to visit in Pula. Lot of sad and great stories from past times can be found here, especially from the Austro-Hungarian monarchy till the Second World War. It is a great monument...More

Naval Cemetery is only a pale reminder of the glorious past of Pula as the main naval port of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy . In bad shape and not maintained. It deserves more attention

Fascinating and very interesting memorial naval cemetery, showing the rich and diverse Pula history. A vast majority of burials were made during the Austrian times (i.e. until 1918), and some during the Second World War. The memorial cemetery is protected by the Hague Convention for...More

We walked here from our apartment - over an hour. It was worth the trek but there was no seating at all in the cemetery. Would have been nice to be able to sit in the peaceful gardens. Many many sad stories of departed children...More
