We came on a hot day so it was quiet allowing us to explore at a slow pace and enjoy seeing everything this aquarium had to offer. It really shows off how much the animals are looked after and the icing in the cake was seeing Anika the turtle. Good value for money considering how much we saw and the history of the fort too.

AQUARIUM PULA WEALTH OF THE SEA Aquarium Pula is a beautiful attraction located in the tourist part of the town of Pula, Verudela. On arrival, we came across a parking lot for both cars and bicycles. The Aquarium is located in the old Austro-Hungarian fortress, which is more than 130 years old, thus bringing together the sea and military history of the city of Pula. The fort itself was created on several floors with a scout at the very top where you can see the Pješčana Uvala, Fratarski island, and the whole part around the fort. At the entrance, there is a fan shop where you can buy souvenirs or other products related to the sea, Pula, and the aquarium. Upon entering we came across several outdoor pools containing crabs and colorful sea fish. The aquarium itself has a concept that covers not only the Adriatic Sea but also other water experiences. Get to know the aquatic world of the Mediterranean, the Adriatic, tropical beauties and, in addition to salt, they also have freshwater content along the North Sea. The efforts that the employees of Aquarium Pula contribute to the maintenance and development of the same and thus make this Pula attraction interesting are visible. Awareness is raised about the very perception of water masses, sea, and water as a drink, as well as the development and protection of the most sensitive and endangered Adriatic species. There are of course turtles that rehabilitate them if they are accidentally found injured somewhere. The aquarium itself also offers education, and info boards can be found in all places, and individual or group guided tours of the aquarium exhibition can be arranged. More than 100 species of fish, crabs, jellyfish, corals, grasses, turtles will leave you with a positive impression and awareness of the sea and their relaxed movement in the aquatic world. In addition to the marine world, there is an exhibition of walks with butterflies, a terrarium, and a children’s corner for photographing animals of the right sizes. One of the commendable attractions that should be visited in Pula for the family as well as for individual education and raising awareness of the sea. Tips: You can also do a small service at the bike site because they have a bike repair station. Photography is allowed but without flash

Really enjoyed the Aquarium and exhibits. The dedication to conservation is clear and the fish all look healthy and well cared for. We all really enjoyed it and better than any Aquarium I have been to in UK. I would imagine it will get busy in peak times but our visit was relatively quiet. Exceeded my expectations.Great way to spend a couple of hours.

Fantastic aquarium with good educational materials as well as interesting exhibits of local and more exotic sea life. In two very interesting repurposed buildings. Includes an exhibition of Navy memorabilia and model ships. Well worth a visit.

While the aquarium is housed in a historical building, the actual exhibits were somewhat underwhelming. The variety of sea creatures on display was quite limited. If you're someone who has visited larger aquariums, this one might not live up to your expectations.

Great experience to discover underwater world. There are plenty of aquariums. No queing, we did not purchase out tickets befour our visit, we started our visit at 6pm. Not sure if it is crowdy during the day. Parking is easy, there are plety lots in front of the aquariums. Check both buildings, the one which is bit further from the main entrqnce has the sharks. We would appreciate more information on the fishes and other animals to learn more.
