The opportunity to meet vinemaker just after he jumpt off the tractor, and to have wine tasting and discusion with him and his family is unique in wine testing word, to be more precize, in Istria I have never experienced anything similar and I visited a lot of them. Great and privileged experience. Talking about wines, I have to admit something first. I have never found some good Teran without metal retro taste. That is my opinion. And I have tasted a lot of them. I read all those fantasist reviews always wondering who write about all those tastes like a kind of poetry. Hope I can say something reproducible simple and honest. The Revolution is definitely best buy red blended wine in Istria for 100 Kn and the One is overpriced, should be the same price as Clay Ottocento red, means about 180 Kn. Bruno is a realy great guy, and his winemaking is the one man show. It needs a lot of carige to try with Syrah in Istria and I congratulate on it. Teran should be replaced with Syrah in Istria. Radovan is still the best Malvasia in Istria but for red wines, coupage like Trapan The One and Clay Ottocento red, thay are the winners.

We turned up at Trapan on a hot Saturday afternoon all pretty hungover. The welcoming committee who greeted us at the carpark was amazing! About 10 different dogs ran out to greet us and then escorted us to our table.

The owners of the winery are a really lovely couple, the wife is in charge and Bruno, the husband looked after is mainly.

We had sharer boards of cured meat, cheese and fish. All delicious! As we ate we tried two white wines, an orange and three reds.

The first and second whites were my favourite, all the grapes are grown locally on vineyards owned by the couple, Bruno's is 7 hectares and his wife's 11.

All of the wines were great, one was a blend named for the couple's twin daughters.

In addition to the pack of excellent dogs, they also have Arianna Grande and excellent fat pig, a couple of goats and a chicken.

Basically this place is amazing, amazing wine, amazing food, amazing animals and excellent service.

I would highly recommend this place, it's a must for anyone who visits Pula.

Husband and I cycled to Trapan this afternoon from Medulin and really enjoyed the wine tasting with Bruno and Irene. We had the basic tasting with the newest wines first, progressing to the acacia and oak aged wines. I was glad of the small plate of local sausage provided to offset so much wine to drink in a short space of time!
Bruno showed us the cellar and explained his wines and business. The cute dogs and goat added to the experience.
A little difficult to find initially but well worth the effort to get there!
Recommended to visit if in area of Sisa. I communicated our visit by email beforehand.

This is a husband/wife winery. Bruno is the wine maker and he offers a detailed and enthusiastic story for every wine you will enjoy. Irena is the ‘CEO’ and she ensures that you have a wonderful wine tasting experience at their winery.

We were offered a great selection of 9 wines to sample. All portions were generous and we enjoyed them on their terrace, overseeing their family goat and with good company of their two cute Pomeranians.

What was great about the tasting is the progression through complexity and quality of the wine.

We were fortunate that some of the wine makers friends were visiting. This resulted in a very special tasting of their original vintage from 2006.

We ended up buying 18 bottles to add to our cellar. This resulted in a special gift of their next product, a wonderful Syrah, signed by the winemaker. We will age this bottle for years and look forward to trying it in the years to come

When we came there they immediately made us feel welcome. We got to learn about how they started the winery and the way they produced their different wines. In that process we learned a lot about organic wines and how they keep the quality and taste as high they produce it.

Don’t be put off by the free-roaming goats and the occasional chicken. They add to the charm of this place!

The enologist (Bruno) is so knowledgable and takes you through his wines and it is interesting to see his take on things. Very different to some of the more traditional wineries in the region.

We had the Trapan VIP tasting (9 wines) and the special mix meat & cheese plate for two (which could have easily fed four people!).

Such a great experience. Lovely family. Great food. Excellent wines.

We will be back.

We booked a wine tasting evening at Trapan and it went beyond our expectations.
Very relaxed environment and wonderful food and wine. The hosts are extremely knowledgeable and it’s a great place to discover a world of Istrian wines.
If you’re visiting Istria, this is a must - and stock up your wines for the duration of your stay and beyond!

Before our visit to Pula, we contacted Trapan to set up a wine tasting, and we are very glad we did so! Trapan's wine tasting room is unique to the area in that not only is it in southern Istria but it also has modern decor. Bruno and David were both very helpful and incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. If you're in the area, definitely consider a stop!

We went for the 5 wine VIP tasting, and the 3 wines and 3 olive oils, plus a couple of appetizers. Everyone will find something they like from Bruno Trapan's wines. Fresh yoing Malvasia, big Teran, aged Malvasia, blends of Teran with French varieties, not forgetting a fine sparkling rose. The food from the kitchen is a new option that started last year, and it is superb. Highly recommended.
